    ULCER INVASION

The cursed ulcer has basically single-handedly destroyed my New Year Eve's celebration plans. I have cancelled both plans of gg to Jean's party and joining Kim's frens' for drinking...why? coz my mouth hurts real bad and any movement will cause friction against it...so, I tot its better for me to avoid heaty food and late nights which will encourage the growth of the ulcer. Thus, my New Year plans are officially burned and I gotta do my countdown at home by watching TV...boring!
    MARINA STEAMBOAT

Met up with Weini and Shiming just now for dinner..Zhenwei had some last minute thing and couldnt join us. So, we changed a location and went to Marina for steamboat instead. God knows why I wanted to eat there coz the hot soup will probably burn my ulcer and the BBQ food will further worsen the situation...arghhhh....

So, after work I went to buy Bonjela from 7-Eleven...couldnt endure the pain anymore u see. Went to the MRT toilet to rub some onto the ulcer and boy was it PAIN!!!! It sting almost as bad as rubbing salt into it...but the good thing is it numbs the whole area ard it. It got better in a while coz I cant feel the ulcer tat much unless I use my tongue to touch it....haha, which I am not stupid enuff to do. Though it was early, I had no mood to go jalan before meeting them...so I just proceed to meeting place at Marina Bay MRT station. And guess wat? Both of them were late!!! and I waited for a whole hour there...sob sob!..."Weini, Shiming! Where got Da Jie Da wait for her Xiao Mei one???!!!!"

When they came, we went to wait for the bus and there was some pple soliciting business there...shall not name the stall tat is doing it but they offer van rides to their stall which very few pple took coz I heard tat their food are not tat nice...so we waited for nearly 15 mins or was it half an hr??? before the bus came. We picked to eat at Cong Bang...foods not bad there and I quite enjoyed the slow process of cooking and munching...coz by then, my ulcer din hurt tat bad (It only started hurting again after 3 hrs when the medicine wear off). [I will load photos on our steamboat fun soon k.....]

We set off to return home at abt 11plus...quite a long eating session..keke....reached home at 12plus...full and tired...ready for a good night sleep. And YES! My ulcer still hurts...

    DEVILISH ULCER...&*)$^!&$*%

Just finished eating 2 meat buns for lunch...arghh, such a painful experience!

I had this ulcer in my mouth near my front gum and mouth for a few days now...and it is irritating me to hell. I had a sorethroat since Christmas and a small white dot appeared in my mouth on Tue, 27 Dec. Thought I could stop its appearance by drinking lots of cooling drinks and herbal tea...but no, it would not go away! It started growing bigger and bigger thru Wed and Thu.

The fact that it is at the front gum means tat everytime I move my lips or chew things, I will rub against it and there will be pain. So, last night I decided to do a brave thing and rub salt onto the ulcer TWICE...Oh man! It sting so badly tat there were tears in my eyes...then my 2nd bro recommend me a mouth wash which is supposedly good for curing mouth ulcer and I just tot "well, it couldnt get worse" and so I gargled the liquid in my mouth and indeed I felt nothing....why?...COZ MY WHOLE MOUTH IS NUMB FROM THE 2 SALT ATTACK!!!

So, this morning I tot my ulcer should be better...but hell no! It just got worse...the ulcer seems to have grown bigger once more and all the white area is now exposed as the skin is broken/torn due to the salt attack...boohoohoo...this means tat the surface area for the ulcer to cause pain in my mouth just got wider than before. AHHHHH!!!!!!!

I wonder wat am I gg to eat for tonight's dinner and how I am gg to enjoy myself...sob....sob................
    FRIDAY AT LAST!

Feeling quite happy this morning just by the thought of the weekend coming. Yipee! Plus I have a dinner appt with Weini, Shiming and Zhenwei. We are gg to Bugis but havent decided on where to dine there. Should find something cheap or at least moderate. As it is, I have quite a big sum of bill to pay :P

I must really try to curb my spendings for the next few months. Need to buy the following next month: Shampoo, conditioner, contact lens (1 yr supply), contact lens drop & 2-way powder...these items could easily work up to $200. Gosh, its really tough being a woman! The bulk of our pay probably went to up-keeping ourselves...haha!

Ok, shall not think abt my funds issue...it is the end of the year and I shld really enjoy myself first...can't wait to knock off today...

    RELATIONSHIP = FRAGILE ?

Woke up this morning n was thinking of this in the shower:

Why is human relationship such a fragile thing? It can be easily broken by misunderstanding, quarrels, distance, etc. Family relation can be tensed becoz of favouritism practices at home. Friendship may be strained becoz of petty quarrels or fights. Its funny how I used to think tat as one grows up, there will be less disagreements...but from wat I am hearing from my parents of the various petty quarrels going on in their karaoke session, it really makes me wonder.

I was just thinking tat it might be interesting if we are able to rate how often or easily pple quarrel at different stages of their lives: toddler, child, teenager, young adult, adult, middle age adult, elderly. And also the likelihood or degree at which they bear grudges...haha...as if we can gauge and rate everything in life...

    ANOTHER SICK DAY...

Having a slight flu this morning...my irritating sorethroat is still bugging me. Like wat Kim said, I probably caught the 'bug'...but I am still crossing my fingers and hoping not. Hate getting sick...especially when u feel sucky coming to work. Yes! I still feel sucky coming to work today.

Let's recap a little on last night. Met up with Mabel & Kim for dinner at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe at Kovan. The snacks there are ok but the fried noodles with egg and luncheon meat that I ate was quite lousy. For $5.90, it is just maggi mee (lukewarm only) with 2 pieces of luncheon meat, 1 egg and a few strands of veggie...not much effort put into cooking tat dish. And the waiter who took our orders was quite frank in telling us which dishes are not nice...interesting huh?...haha...then we found out tat he wanted to quit already, tats why he dared to badmouth the food there. Wonder how long the place would last. Prior businesses there have all subsequently fold up (Jack's place, UOB bank, Burger King)...could be bad fengshui there.

As it was drizzling, I managed to persuade my 2nd bro to send all of us home...nice of him to do tat. Charmaine was still there when we reached home. She was having a bath or wat she calls "bong bong"...haha...Mum din allow to play much after tat coz afraid she start perspiring again. Then they went home a while later. Another day went by just like tat.

Wonder how draggy today is gg to be...

WHY DO I HAVE TO WORK TODAY??!

Felt really sucky when I woke up this morning...din like the feeling of gg back to work after a holiday...mood's not there, energy's not there, and basically cannot concentrate at work. Keep on having this naggy feeling tat I shld hv taken leave today...but silly me, come tomorrow, I wld feel the same way if I was on leave today...

Going to meet Kim and Mabel for dinner after work later at the Hong Kong Cafe at Kovan...my first time going there...hopefully the food is not bad for my throat. I still have my sorethroat...been drowning myself with sweets all day in order not to feel the uncomfortable throat irritating me...urghh! Will miss playing with Charmaine later as she is also coming over tonight...but then, been playing with her so much for the last 4 days tat I guess 1 day away from her wouldnt hurt...hehe...I just feel like relaxing today...maybe she will still be there when I get home later.

    POST CHRISTMAS...STILL TIRED

Woke up this morning at 8am for a swimming. Felt guilty for not jogging yesterday. Expected to see a crowd at the pool but was pleasantly surprised at how empty the place looked. It was a pity though coz my knees were giving me problems (giving a crackling sound everytime I kicked in the water). In the end, I din dare to swim much and came up after an hour.

Finally managed to force my 2nd bro to play Scrabble with me...but I lost both times!!! Arghhh...guess he is smarter...I think tats why Jenny called him "The 2 Smarties" coz he is smart and good looking...hehe...I took a nap in the afternoon...woke up at 5plus and Sis-in-law and Charmaine havent come over. She was still sleeping then...We had dinner as soon as they arrived and as usual, busy playing with Charmaine after tat...plus trying to watch a little tv. They went back earlier today coz Jesline was tired...anyway, guess we all are tired (except for Charmaine) after so many continuous days of playing with Charmaine...she is an energetic toddler.

I watched my 9pm chinese drama and Project Runway after tat before knocking out again...guess I havent recovered my energy yet.

    A DROWSY DAY

Today turned out to be a very drowsy day for me...slept thru lunch and woke up at 3 plus in the afternoon when Sis-in-law and Charmaine came over...had my lunch then (weird timing)...played with Charmaine a little after tat and then fell asleep again halfway and woke up at 6 plus to 7pm. Was in a daze and tried to play with Charmaine a little more but do not have much energy.

Still have my sorethroat and felt quite tired (age is indeed catching up on me). They left at abt 9 plus at night, leaving a tired me. But I still had to call Kim coz she wanted to chat with me...to gossip abt the party earlier in the day I guess...well, I knocked out straight after chatting with her....Indeed a drowsy day...
    CHRISTMAS PARTY AT KIM'S

Arrived at Kim's party with Jean at abt 10 plus, near to 11pm. The party seemed a little divided when I went in. There are 2 different groups: Group A: Mabel, Kris, Jocelyn, Bixian, Adeline (who left as soon as I reached there); and Group B: Daniel, Kim2 (Daniel's gf), Lena, Winston, Andrew and Weiqiang...finally, there's Kim, Jean and myself...(Hope I din leave anyone out :P ). Well, cant blame them for not being able to mix coz tat the first time they met.

Then, Lena suggested playing "Charade", which we played till the countdown time to 12mn. Afterwhich we exchange our presents. Wat a coincidence!...I got Mabel's gift and Jean got Kim's....Haha...

We changed game after tat, and I suggested "Zhong Ji Mi Ma"...which is a great game to clear food. (Oh, forgot to mention tat Kim ordered food enuff to feed an army of 30! Haha...) This game broke the ice for all of us...Daniel & gang was quite funny and soon Mabel & gang also warmed up a little more. The food cleared up pretty fast then, other than the beehoon, most of the other dishes were cleared, then a tub of ice cream and a pack of potato chips...haha...horrible how fast the food cleared with this game!

Sadly, the party downsized when Mabel, Jocelyn, Bixian and Kim(Daniel's gf) left, and Andrew, Weiqiang and Chris fell asleep. There was only Kim, Jean, Daniel, Lena, Winston and myself left to play "Bluff" with the bottle of Vodka. We managed to finish 2/3 of the bottle by 5 plus in the morning. Think I drank a little too much, with all the food and drinks up to my neck, I vomitted once...not too serious and then went to nap for an hour while the others continued to play cards. By the time I woke up at 6plus, it was raining quite heavily. We just sat ard, chatted and joked...they were pretty humorous and fun to hang out with...guess I really shld go out more and make frens :P

Returned home abt 8am, tired and have a sorethroat...I think from the food and drinks...had a nice hot shower just now and ready to knockout in my bed soon...hmmm...my niece will be coming over later, need to recover some energy in order to play with her later.

PS: I again missed my Sunday jogging...think I am going to miss next Sunday's job as well coz partying on New Year's Eve as well...haha
    CHRISTMAS DINNER WITH FAMILY

The X'mas dinner last night was a success! To my relief, the Prima Deli food came at abt 5pm...and we had time to warm them up before Auntie, cousins, sis-in-law and niece came.

    Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Suprisingly, we could not finish the food...although there are 7 adults, 2 children and a toddler and the ordered food is for 6 pax...but of course, we do have bee hoon. Haha...eat until bursting full. The melon liqueuer also quite good...overall, the dinner was a success. Then we had fruits with chocolate fondue, which I think my cousins love, coz they have probably never tried it. But personally, I was too full to enjoy it.

The presents unwrapping time was also fun. I was a little disappointed tat Yanling was more excited abt the stickers than the Narnia story book tat she received...feel tat a good book is wasted on her. Sheng is pretty quiet abt his present, guessed tat its a soccer ball and he is right. Charmaine on the other hand was totally thrilled at her bricks presents...started playing with bricks as soon as she got the wrappers off...hahaha...messed up the whole living room. They all left at abt 9 plus...and its time for me to get to my next party - at Kim's!

    24 DEC - FINALLY HERE!

Woke up this morning at 8am...went for a nice morning swim which I havent done in a long time. Was quite horrified that there were so many pple there...tot most will be sleeping in coz its holiday season. But it was a good swim nevertheless. Went to Kovan Cold Storage to buy some biscuits for Charmaine after tat, coz she probably couldnt eat most of the goodies tonight...so poor thing...

Really looking forward to the dinner later, the food from Prima Deli hasnt come yet...getting worried. I have put up the decorations with Dad and laid out the presents around the Christmas Tree on the coffee table. Everthing's set for tonight....just need the food and pple to be here!

    LAST MINUTE X'MAS SHOPPING

Abt to start work in 15 mins time and I already can't wait for the day to end. Looking forward to the last minute X'mas shopping I need to do. Need to buy the ingredients for my fondue for tomorrow's dinner, and 2 tubs of ice cream and some potato chips for Kim's party. Another big lobang in my pocket after tonight. Then, will go home and assist my 2nd bro bake his cheese cake...I think it is cheesecake this time. Well, "busy busy" is wat I say abt tonight. Ok, first I gotta finish the day at work...ahh...how boring! Super holiday mood now!

    CHICKEN POX

Haha...my eldest bro gana chicken pox today. As my sis-in-law is pregnant at the moment, he came over to our place to stay for the next 2 weeks. And I am in danger of getting the chicken pox myself coz I never had it...haha...2 weeks MC from work, would be great if not for tat I dun have sufficient leave to cover the whole 2 weeks...probably wld need to take a day of no pay leave. Will see abt tat if I really gana chicken pox.

Was joking last night tat since we are gg to hv our Christmas dinner on Sat, we will just give my bro a bowl of bee hoon and a drink and ask him to eat by himself in the room...haha...so poor thing right?...haha...but no choice since he is contagious. Charmaine seems unaffected though...she was playing with her dad and wearing his shoes and all. Its so good to be a child with no worries.

Anyway, really looking forward to Sat's dinner. Have all the presents wrapped up and ready. Bought another gift for Charmaine - a cute Korean costume...will post a photo of Charmaine in it (provided it is not too big for her lah) on Sat.

    [Posted the following on 28.12.05]:

    "OSTRACIZE"

The word "Ostracize" mean to exclude a person from a group. A common phenomenon in the society these days. Almost everyone (of coz there are some lucky one who arent) have the experience of being ostracized at least once in their lifetime...be it in the family, school, workplace or society in general. Some might not mind being ostracized coz they might be a loner who prefer to be alone anyway. But tat doesnt mean tat they dun feel hurt by the fact tat they are not accepted in a certain group. Sadly, this phenomenon is not likely going to disappear and there will always be some who is at the receiving end of such treatment.

However, do not be dejected or devastated if u are being ostracized from a group. Coz u should always remember that we are all part of this universe, however tiny or microscopic we are. So, know tat this is where we all belong and tat is something no single individual can exclude u from ;)

    DEPARTMENTAL MEETING - CONTINUATION

The meeting went through pretty much ok...more straightforward and short than I expect. More of a briefing session but I am glad tat I did learn something from it. At least cleared up some doubts abt work procedures. We had a little snack thereafter...so wasted more time away from work. After the snack, I did my own notes of the meeting in order to keep track of some procedures that I need to know...stayed back a little while after work to complete the notes but it should be worth it.
    DEPARTMENTAL MEETING

In another 1/2 hr's time will be our departmental meeting. The first meeting that I will be attending since I joined IPTO. Hope everything goes smoothly without hiccups...crossing my fingers for a peaceful day. I must really try not to doze off later. Its one thing to doze off at my desk but a whole different thing to doze off in a meeting.

I have been feeling restless since yesterday. Mabel said it must be becoz of the holiday mood...but I dun think so...I think its something else...must really find something or someone worthwhile to focus my energy on...

    PRAYING, SHOPPING & PLAYING

Woke up late this morning and missed my jogging again...ah...my determination definitely broke down...boohoohoo...

Had to go praying...at our Teochew Association down at Geylang. Its an annual thingy tat we go to, so no way to worm out of it. The usual takes place there...burning of joss sticks, some loud chantings and praying, then the loud clanks and music - almost deafening. After tat we queue up for the food...ok lah, quite nice to eat.

Then, Dad dropped me off at Bugis Junction in the afternoon. I tried for the last time to find the fondue burner...and yipee! Found it at last! And it cost only $15 from Seiyu...how lucky!!! Even bought chocolates so that I can try out the fondue first. But the Cadbury chocolates I bought dun seem to be a good choice coz they are too sweet. Well, I guess I would need to buy some Hersheys chocolates tat are meant for baking.

My day din end after getting home from shopping...I went over to Bro's place in the evening, this time with my mum...again to play with Charmaine...hehe...she's soooo cute! She dragged my mum to go climb the stairs with her and she walked up 4 storeys...very good accomplishment for a kid below 2 yrs old!

    NUA... ...

Felt so nua today...woke up at 7 plus in the morning and was conflicted on whether to go jogging (seems tat my determination is wavering)...finally lost to the temptation of my bed and just concuss again...by the time my mum woke me up next, it was already 12 plus in the afternoon...hahaha

As Mum & Dad went to Karaoke again (today from afternoon till night leh...seems tat there was a Christmas party organized by the RC), I went over to bro's place after lunch, bringing some bee hoon for them. Watched the taped episode of America's Sweetheart at their place and played with my niece. I shall refrain from telling u guys again how cute my niece is...keke...she is just such a joy in the family! She seems to be a little unwell though...she is undergoing the cold turkey treatment to kick her addiction to her "Tu Tu" (pacifier) and thus her appetite is not too good...din eat any solid food for the whole day and only drank a bit of milk. Definitely not good for a growing child...hope she get well soon.

Later, my 2nd bro came over and we went out for dinner at Punggol Park, Bliss restaurant. Quite a nice cozy western restaurant, food's quite nice too. There is even a Christmas Tree inside and Charmaine was so fascinated that she kept circling it and running all abt...haha...cute! We retired home after dinner...a simple day, well spent...nuaing......

    PRE-X'MAS SHOPPING PART 2

I went shopping alone at Junction 8 after work today. Was quite determine to try find the fondue burner tat I saw there previously. Unfortunately, couldnt find it at Seiyu anymore...darn!

Then, I decided to check out the Popular there for a gift for Yanling. Maybe becoz I already have my mind decided on the story of Narnia that I decided to spend abt $51 on a complete book of the Chronicles of Narnia. Did not pick those that come in 7 volumes...way too expensive: $60++ and above. Also bought an adult version of the story for myself...end up spending $80++ :P (a bigger hole in my pocket...keke!)

Later, I got a $20 Kiddy Palace voucher as gift for my niece...din have the brain power to think of wat to buy liao...

Got home abt 8 plus, lucky in time for my final episode of Rainbow Connections!

    PRE-X'MAS SHOPPING

Met up with Ian for dinner at Plaza Singapura tonight, Mabel was supposed to join us but sadly she was sick. A lot of pple are falling sick these days...wonder if it is becoz of the temperamental weather during end of this year.

We ate at Ajisen and did a little catching up. Although we studied at SIM together, we never had much chance to chit chat then. Thanks to Ian, I actually learned wat the MCST (Management Corporation Strata Title) is abt and tat a condominium can be considered its own entity and its owners, for each condo unit, are the shareholders. It is a part of Building Law which I did not have a chance to study on, so I shall not pretend to know more and describe here :P

After dinner, we went to the World of Sports shop to pick up a gift for my cousin (Pri 6 boy) for X'mas...so difficult to think of something a boy of his age might like...but luckily I know tat he plays soccer so decided to get a soccer ball for him. There were actually soccer balls of different sizes and we had no idea which was a better pick, so I just went for the cheapest one there (Hey, I am not cheapo! I'm just on a tight budget...). Funny thing is, when I went to pay, I tried to double-confirm with the cashier if tat was indeed a soccer ball and the cashier actually had to check the label on the ball and said "Practice Ball...hmm...yah, I think it is a soccer ball"....hahaha....even the staff dun know how to differentiate the balls they sell...hahaha

After tat, we went to Marks & Spencer to pick up Ian's X'mas gift exchange item...he wanted to get chocolates. Why is it tat chocolates seem to be the fav choice when thinking of X'mas gifts??? Haha....either lack of creativity or just too lazy to think of wat gift to buy :P

Well, I returned home after tat and managed to catch part of Rainbow Connection drama on Channel 8. Tomorrow's last episode...will be home to watch it. :)
    MISFORTUNES???

Just had an appointment with the Director of a wound up company. He was telling me abt the recent misfortunes of his family: How he injected lots of money in the company, some of it from his dad, and now losing everything. Abt him paying some of the creditors using his own money as he thinks its not right to owe them money (sounds a little silly to me coz company and individual are separate entities and he really should not have paid the company's debt). He is doing a little business on his own now in order to support his 3 children. His wife got depression becoz his youngest child is born with birth defects (I am not going into details on this...though he did tell me in details). And that the family just discovered that his mum has contracted breast cancer, and his dad (70+ yrs old) is not taking the news well.

Amongst all tat he told me, I caught a line abt how hard it was to run the 3-STOREY household when they have difficulty hiring a maid. It is interesting that despite all his misfortunes, he can still afford the luxury of staying in a 3-storey house.

Say tat I am skeptical or just plain suspicious, I think he is just trying to win my sympathy. Without going into details abt my job, I think he is not being honest in the facts that he told me. I dun mean abt the stories of his misfortunes, but things regarding the company.

Well, there is indeed so many different kinds of pple ard. Although this director seems quite unfortunate but at least he still has a roof over his head, enjoys 3 meals a day, and have his family with him.

Therefore, I think misfortunes normally comes hand-in-hand with fortunes and blessings as well. So, I guess I should count my blessings for my low pay contract job, the debts I owed my mum n bro, and my inability to meet the guy of my dreams...haha...coz all these mean that I have my loving family, caring friends and cooperative colleagues...hahahaha....

    PRIDE & PREJUDICE

I specially took a day's leave to watch Pride & Prejudice with Amrita today, plus of course to laze ard the rest of the time.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The show was sweet and touching...a good show to watch but expect nothing dramatic. If u like romance movies, this is the show for u!
The character Lizzie (Keira Knightley) was a spirited, intelligent and beautiful young lady and Mr Darcy (Matthew Macfadyen) was tall, dark and handsome with an air of mystery ard him. I was totally captivated by Mr Darcy in the show...wat a dazzling man!!!

After the show, we had drinks at Starbucks and started playing Scrabble...haha...tat seems to be my fav game these days. We did not keep scores but in the end, I had 1 more tile than her left, which means I lost. Well, maybe with more practice, I can outplay her next time...hehe.

    JENNY...MY DEAR FREN!

Finally met up with Jenny after 1 1/2 yrs (tat's wat she said)...though it felt like 2 yrs to me. Ever since we started our own further studies, we were both busy with work n studies to meet up with each other. It was great catching up with her again after so long. And now tat we have both graduated, guess we have lots of chance to hang out :)

She seemed quite shocked by the changes in me. Couldn't recognise me with my new curly hair (and I guess with my reverting back to contact lens)...haha...and commented that my hair looks like a doll's hair. I shared with her my change of view since my Perth trip and she joked abt me having a halo over my head...keke...I used to be quite competitive and was always thinking abt how to build my career and earn lots of money, now its more like - how can I make my life more fulfilling...wat can I do to improve my lifestyle, not by the money I earn but by the money I spend!

After coffee at Starbucks, we shopped ard a bit and I bought a Scrabble travel pack...haha...sounds childish huh? Well, it was actually very fun. We had dinner at KFC and played Scrabble there and then. Without reading the full set of rules, we played the game based on our own rules..haha...interesting thing is that by playing the game, we realised tat our vocabulary is shockingly limited! Imagine how kids will laugh at us if they saw us playing...hahahahaha....

When I returned home, I tried the Scrabble game again late at night and managed to complete all the tiles with a total score of 440. Will try to break my own record next time. ;)

    HAHAHA... ... ...JUST READ!

Ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back or that you could crawl into a hole? Here are the Testimonials of a few people who did.

FIRST TESTIMONY: I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly, "How much do you charge for a shampoo and a blow job?" Hearing myself, I turned right around and walked back out and never went back. My husband didn't say a word ... he knew better.

SECOND TESTIMONY: I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I wasunhappy with the women's type that I had been using. After browsing forseveral minutes, I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who work at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, I looked at him and said, "I think I like playing with men's balls."

THIRD TESTIMONY: My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of candy and nuts. As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help. I replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts." My sister started to laugh hysterically. The boy grinned, and turned beet-red and walked away. To this day, my sister has never let me forget.

FOURTH TESTIMONY: While in line at the bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and run amok. I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons. I told her that if she did not start behaving "right now" she would be punished. To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said loudly in a voice just as threatening, "If you don't let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!" The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange. Even the tellers stopped what they were doing. I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow. The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me, were screams of laughter.

FIFTH TESTIMONY: Have you ever asked your child a question too many times? My three year old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly. One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch in between errands. It was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven month old daughter, and she was clean. Then I realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while, so I asked him if he needed to go, and he said "No". I kept thinking "Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clothes with me.". Then I said, "Danny, are you SURE you didn't have an accident?" "No," he replied. I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse. So, I asked one more time, "Danny, did you have an accident?" This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over and spread his cheeks and yelled "SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!" While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down. An old couple made me feel better by thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had!

LAST TESTIMONY: This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a veryembarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks. What happens when you predict snow but don't get any...? Here's a true story: We had a female news anchor that, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked "So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?" Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did, too - theywere laughing so hard!

    HAHA...FUNNY SHIT!?

nori123: You don't know jack shit

violetsky: That's not true, I know him well

    nori123: Haha

    violetsky: I'm serious

violetsky: Jack is the son of Awe Schitt and O. Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt Inc. They had one son, Jack. In turn Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt, the deeply religious couple produced 6 children

violetsky: Holie Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Giva Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins: Deap Schitt and Dip Schitt. Against her parents' objections, Deap Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school drop out.

violetsky: However, after being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later remarried Ted Sherlock and, because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name.

violetsky: She was then known as Noe Schitt-Sherlock. Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt and they produced a son of nervous disposition, Chicken Schitt.

violetsky: Two other of the 6 children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony.

violetsky: The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens wedding. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Hoarse.

violetsky: Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt.

    violetsky: So there.

    fipo: LOL

nori123: I have actually chortled coke through my nose

...this is the funniest Schitt i've read on the internet in my entire life.
    EAST COAST PARK

Went to ECP with Family today. It rained at 1pm plus before we set off and it rained again after we got there and started playing. Was mainly playing sand with Charmaine (my 1 1/2 yr old niece) when there...she's sooooooo cute! Aunt, Sheng & Yanling (cousins) came with us and they were flying kite and riding bicycle as well.

I went to walk along the beach barefoot for a while and thought to myself "How clean and beautiful the beaches at Perth are! How fine and white the sands there are! And how gorgeous the sea looks there!"...a certain longing surface in me to walk down the beach hand-in-hand with my love one...I thought to myself for the millionth time since I came back from Perth "I am missing out something important in life. There is more to life then just work, career and money. I should slow down my step and embrace what I see, hear and feel daily...it is time I find someone to share this kind of feeling with...Soulmate! Where r u? Have u indeed lost ur way?...."

WINDING DOWN AFTER A TENSE WORK WEEK

Went out with Kim & Mabel just now and met Anne for the first time. A woman with lots of character is wat I wld describe her. Bold, straightforward and charming in her own way.

We had dinner at Marina Sq, the restaurant beside Swensens...gosh! I forgot the name already (I am indeed getting old...keep forgetting things these days). [HAHA! I just remembered the restaurant's name, its Changing Appetites! - posted on 27.12.05 ] Ate Mushroom & Cheese Chicken burger, thought it tasted quite good but Anne said it was bad...maybe my tastebuds are having problems too...hmm...

We shopped ard a little at Marina Sq and Millenia Walk thereafter. Found a candy shop at Millenia Walk selling all sorts of sweets, chocolates & goodies that you probably could not elsewhere in Singapore. Also discovered the Smith's Cheese & Onion potato chips there!!! It is wat we had in Perth and it tastes great!!! Though it costs a bit expensive ($5.90), it might be worth to buy when I have chips cravings. :)

Later, we searched ard for a nice place to hv a drink and ended up drinking at the link upstairs between Millenia Walk and Marina Sq (again I forgot the name of the place!)...ordered a Long Island Tea and found tat it tasted HORRIBLE!!! Worse Long Island I ever drank...Mabel felt the same way too coz she ordered the same. Didnt manage to finish the drink coz it was so awful. Think I wld still prefer gg to the lounge at Marina Mandarin for a drink...ambience is good, seats are comfortable, service staff are polite and the drink taste far better, to top it up - got pianist there as well...wat more can u ask for on a relaxing night out?

We headed home at abt 11.30pm, took some time to call a cab. Lucky all of us live ard the same area, so it was pretty economical :P
    FRIDAY AT LAST!!!

I am in good spirits today. Was worried last night tat I may hv nowhere to go after work today. What with Sharon & others postponing the dinner. But lucky me, Kim & Mabel has agreed to keep me company!

Will be gg to Marina area for dinner and a drink...cant wait to knock off.

    LIFESTYLE...

Ah...another boring day at work is starting... :(

I have been feeling restless since I came back from Perth. Lifestyle is so different there, its not just all abt work, power & money. They are more focused on family life, own lifestyle & enjoying themselves. No wonder so many S'poreans who studied there wants to stay & work there instead of coming back. How I wish I can moved there too...

    CHANGES???

Jus got off the phone with Grace. It has been a long time since we chatted after graduating from SIM. Was glad to catch up with her and learn the good things happening in her life. She got a promotion a few months ago and recently found a better job which she is starting next year, applied for a flat in Sengkang with her bf and planning ROM some time next year I guess...wat a lot of changes within this mere 1/2 yr which I didnt see her.

Then as a Capricorn and typical pessimist, I begin to wonder abt my life direction for the millionth time. Wat have I achieved in my 26 years of life? I am working in a Contract position, drawing a fresh graduate pay, the love of my life hasnt appeared (or maybe he lost his way & decided not to appear ever), and I am trying to find a purpose in life every single minute. Wat is really important to me? Career? Success? Fame? Love? Family? or simply Peace?
    HARRY POTTER BOOKS

Haha! I finally bought my set of Harry Potter story books!!! Popular was having a 20% discount on bestsellers and I decided tat this is the best time for me to buy the books. Went to Popular at Majestic (Chinatown) after work, thinking of finding the books there but silly me...they sell mostly Chinese Books, so I ended up going to Kovan Popular. Bought The Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkhaban, Goblet of Fire and Order of Phoenix (display & last one). However I did not get the Half Blood Prince coz it is hardcover and therefore more expensive. Not sure if they sell tat volume in paperback but will try to find.

Ended up spending abt $70+...I shld really cut down on my expenses since I spent a lot in Perth...at this rate, I will not have any savings for the next few months. :P

    OUR 1ST XMAS TREE

I bought our 1st Xmas Tree yesterday after work. Spent a total of $50.30 to get a 2ft tree, all the decorations n 2 small reindeers. It was both fun n tiring to do up the tree last night after coming back from the gathering. Only finished decorating the tree at abt 2.30pm. And I woke up at abt 8am to go jogging...this jogging thing will have to be my every Sunday routine, trying for a healthier lifestyle :)

Here's a pic of the Xmas Tree:

    EARLY XMAS CELEBRATION

Just returned from a Xmas Celebration at Christine's place. It was fun despite the low turn up, only 11 of us: Christine, Chris, Ian, Adrian, Goh, Kai Ler, Lee, Shu Fang, Xueling, Lynette and Me. Many could not attend coz of the last minute planning...but I guess we cant please everyone. :P

We had black pepper turkey, honey roasted ham, chicken & potato pie, quiche, salad and a blackforest log cake from Prima Deli. Christine even prepared spaghetti and other side dishes for us. I brought the Raspberry Liqueur from Perth and a Cabernet Sauvignon which I bought locally. That red wine was a disaster! It was not just bad tasting, Ian found a bug inside as well!!! Way way inferior to the Sandalford Cabernet Sauvignon I tried...shld hv brought my '3 Vines' instead. We finished 1 btl of liqueur and 3 btls of red wine (1 btl was finished by Chris n Goh actually) in total.

Played darts after the meal and everyone decided to go home by 11 plus. Hope the next gathering will be more fun n with more pple attending.
    MY FIRST BLOG!

Wahla! This is my first blog EVER! Never tot tat i will try this but recently got to see a few frens' blog n find it interesting, so decided to try it out.

I feel so outdated...being 26 yrs old, I am not a complete IT idiot but am still struggling with the new technology improvements. Well, guess I need a lot more practice...
