    My NEW Nokia 6300!!!

I finally got my NEW phone!!!

Got Bro to drive me down to Tampines Mall to buy the Nokia 6300 phone yesterday. Wat prompted the sudden change of phone at this time?

    1) I want a camera phone which I can take pic wherever I am so tat I can become a better blogger and u guys will love my blog and worship me as an idol. (Haha...I was trying to type an ultra long sentence with no punctuation...keke)

    2) I want to be "IN" and not outdated. My previous phone though in perfectly good condition has been with me for 5 to 6 yrs already. I look so OLD taking it. T_T I DUN WANA BE OLD...

    3) GST will increase next month to 7%. Why not save that 2% and buy the phone now....hehe...yeah yeah, this is an excuse....zzzz

Not enuff GOOD reasons for the new phone??!!! Hmm, if u are paying for the phone, I will tell u more GOOD reasonssssss.

Anyway, I was reading the manual last night and got the basic functions of the phone but am still having difficulty with some of the options. Will have to do more reading tonight. And sadly, I realise the USB cable for transferring data and pics into computers is not included in the package. Have to buy it separately....haiz...which means need to spend more $...sianz....why everything needs $ de?...arghhh....

Well, I guess this is the PRICE we have to pay to keep up with times.

Sat Night Adventure at Kg Glam

Initially I had plans to go over Kim's place last Sat for some celebration before her school term starts...but tat was postponed as I was still on medication and I am not too sure whether alcohol and pills work well together..haha...joking lah O.o of coz the 2 shld NOT be mixed!

Thinking that I will be nua-ing at home, I was as usual mapling lah. It was quite fun since I have not been playing much lately. Come dinner time, I was quite happy tat my bro and I managed to meet up with Su and Gwen for dinner at some cafe at Kampong Glam (near Arab Street). It seemed like some maple gathering...LOL...coz all 4 of us are maplers mah. I dun remember the name of the cafe but though the place looks pretty run-down, the food is quite good though of a different taste than wat I am used to. We had dessert at another cafe/restaurant which I also did not take note of the name (yeah yeah, I am a lousy blogger with no camera phone). They serve very interesting dessert which I din try coz of my health condition. *Flu & Cough + Weird Dessert = Drop Dead/Food Poisoning/Condition Worsen*

We did however take a shot of Su's leftover dessert with my bro's camera phone... (I will try to get the pic from him and load it up here k)

Anyway, we were pretty amazed by the no. of youngsters in that area at night. Goes to show I am not a "night" person...the no. of night spots (places to go to at night) tat I know of is pathetically few. So, tat was a sort of an eye-opener for me. THANKS Su, for bring us there ^^

And thanks Bro for being so generous and such a patient driver! **BOW**

    Countdown - 5 days

My last week in the current job...5 days left. I am going to miss some of my colleagues and the familiar environment. Frankly, I hate the feeling of going to a new place and having to adapt to the culture and environment there. But I guess there is no choice in this case. It is a wise career move and a better security for my future.

I am still sick today, have finished my medicine and completed the course of antibiotics which the doc issued...but surprise surprise (not really surprise...this is sarcasm at the doc located near my house)...I AM STILL SICK!

So here I am with lots of phlegm in my throat and mucus in my nostrils, playing "Nose Orchestra" in the office...LOL! Then my imagination went wild and I was telling my colleague how I imagine the "Maggot" coming to talk to me and I turned over to face him with mucus running down my nostrils and giving him the DEATH look @_@ ...then suddenly I felt my nose itch and I sneezed loudly. The sneeze threw all the mucus onto the maggot's face and he was frantically wiping the mucus off. But he was unable to do so due to the super strength of the sticky mucus...keke!

    SUPER DUPER STICKY MUCUS

    VS

    WHITE FACE MAGGOT

    "Ting"..."Ting"..."1, 2, 3!...MUCUS WINS!"

Then maggot drops to the floor and started crying loudly...and in the midst of his sobbing, he called out faintly for his DADDY???!!!

    WAHAHHAHAHAHHAA.....OMG! I AM EVIL!!!!

    Creative Poem 1

Back at work from my MC and I am loaded with work. Despite the piles of work, sniffing & coughing, I did find a tiny bit of time to come up with an interesting poem/short paragraph describing a certain annoying person who never seems to stop irritating my colleague (and sometimes me) by his stupid instructions and directions.

Here's my tribute to him and his nonsense:

Here comes the maggot...Here comes the maggot...
    Itsy bitsy maggot....Itsy bitsy maggot....
    Hush hush....Keep it down....
    Shhh...shhh...Not a sound....
    "Piak"...."Thump"...."Ekkkk!"
    Flat it becomes......

    Pasir Ris Fauna Farm Trip

It was a special day yesterday. My bro and I took leave to bring Charmaine on a school trip! Isnt that exciting? Shu Shu and Gu Gu's day out with Charmaine. ^^

Went with Charmaine to childcare centre early at 7.30am! I was the first "parent" there... :P ....ya, kiasu....zzzzz.....No lah, I din wana go later coz the teachers there dun recognize me and I was afraid that Charmaine will not greet me and thus the teachers might think I am a kidnapper...blah blah blah.....keke.

It started out a bit awkward as I did not know the teachers there and the kids of coz, so I was following Charmaine ard and asking me to show me this and that lah. Then we sat down to stack some coloured bricks and the kids started joining in...one of them asked if I was a new teacher there (LOL!!! Me a teacher?!!! LOL!!!).

Surprisingly, I found Charmaine pretty quiet in school...hmm, she is a lot more chatty and active at home. Her best friend, Jing Xuan wasnt ard coz she did not sign up to go for the school trip. But Charmaine got herself 2 bodyguards: Damian (left) and Ah Boon (right)

And here's a pic where Charmaine hides her face in a hat and Damian was mirroring her...keke...

Me having fun with the kids.

We only set off from the centre at 10am to the Pasir Ris Fauna Farm. I forgot to take a pic of the Farm's signboard (goes to show I'm still not good at blogging w pics). Quite a bit of time was wasted at the farm, while the teachers organize the kids, bring them to the toilet and the farm representative explained the itinerary and safety notes.

See how bored Charmaine got while waiting to enter...zzzzzzz.....

Basically there is 3 parts to the tour of the farm: Fishing, Animal Show & Animal Feeding

    1) Fishing
Firstly, u fill the bucket with water. Not too much or the fishes u catch and put inside will jump out...but not too little of the fishes will die.

    Then, u start fishing!

Hmm Charmaine, this is not how u fish.

Let Shu Shu show u ^^

    See??....oops, no fish???

Huh...Charmaine, u dun wana fish anymore? (Btw, I think my bro takes really horrid pics...he took an ugly shot of me and Charmaine's backview!!! Which camera man does tat?!!)

But luckily another pic he took saved the day....I like this pic out of the bunch...seems to tell a story....

    Finally! Some fishes!!!

Come...lets pack up for the day...enuff fishing for now

Actually most of the fishing is done by the parents and teachers lah...kinda difficult to catch the fishes as they swim very fast.

    2) Animal Show
I din really watch much of the animal show coz by this time, most of the kids are hungry...was busy taking food out for Charmaine and passing tissues ard. But I did take a few pics.

Race between 2 white mice...its interesting to see how they circle down the rope to reach the bottom of the swing.

Charmaine shrinking away from the cute rabbit...think she is afraid of touching animals...hmm, they should be more afraid of her ba -_lll

Then off we went to feed the animals!

    3) Animal Feeding
We were given animal food to feed Koi fishes, chickens, ducks and a goose.

    Let's feed the Koi fishes!

    Smile Charmaine ^^

Here are the ducks....No! Of coz I am not eating the animal food! -_lll

We were all pretty tired after tat. Had a small break with food and drinks and a short ride back to the childcare centre. I was pretty happy to see my mum as we could finally unload Charmaine off to her grandma, who is more than happy to feed her, bathe her and tuck her in bed.

Only sad thing abt the day is....my cough worsened and flu developed....so, here I am sniffing away in front of my com....need to go see doc le....T_T

All of u, take care of ur health o!

    Signages

Have been meaning to write this post for the longest time...but guess I was a little too pre-occupied.

Basically I love the signages, directories and maps we find in Singapore. They are normally informative and really useful to those of us who understand them of coz.

But then, there are those that...hmm...probably no one on earth would understand in a million years. This is a map I found at the top of Exit A of Tanjong Pagar MRT station. The pics were taken by a friend in March this year (see...reason for me to own a camera phone).

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Anyway, I took a look at the map recently and it remained the same...no one from the station bothered to change it despite the worn off look caused by rainwater. A hopeless indication that pple are NOT doing their job.

Oh yah, got another funny signage I saw a week ago when I went on my shopping spree. I remember seeing at Isetan's (if my memory din fail me too badly) changing rooms a sign which says

"Please rejoin the queue after trying more than 3 pieces"

Ok, wonder wats wrong with the message??? Read again...

The person who wrote that is probably trying to slap him/her-self. So, we are suppose to only join the Q after trying MORE THAN 3 pieces?!!! Aiyo, then I just take 10 pieces in at one shot lah...its more than 3 pieces mah...anyway, I only need to rejoin the Q after trying tat 10 pieces right...keke...

I made my point right? ^^

    I want IT Gadgets!!!

Just now when I went toilet and pass by the ecare room in my office, saw 4 laptops and a portable printer inside...then I was thinking to myself "How cool it is to have a portable printer!" Think I am getting really fascinated by all the new IT gadgets ard!!! PSP, DS-lite, handphones ah.....so many interesting gadgets to own...but yet so little $....sigh...

But maybe I shall try to get them 1 by 1....first a new handphone! My current loyal Nokia 6150 has been with me for more than 5 yrs already (think maybe reaching 6 yrs), has no camera function and I din even use the MMS function. But it has worked well for these years...a very loyal companion I must say. However, lately my blogger instinct has taken over and complained abt the lack of a proper camera phone which I can snap pics wherever I go...so tat I can do more interesting posts with illustrative pics. So, my "powerful" excuse for getting a new phone. Su recommended Nokia 5700 for its camera and music player functions...hmm, nice design and all...but anyone has any more recommendations so tat I can compare???

As for PSP and DS-Lite...well these are just vanity toys tat I wish I have after reading Xiaxue's posts. Of coz my fav game will still be MapleStory, so any NON-online game tat is not MapleStory will probably not be as fun...but...wouldnt it be cool to be taking a PSP or DS-Lite outside and play them while waiting for/on the boring MRT and buses.

And of coz another PC or laptop at home would help too...then I could play MapleStory together with my bro again...and it will be more fun I guess. But this I dun intend to get myself coz I have absolutely no idea how to take care of a PC/laptop...wat with the viruses, firewall, blah blah blah...if I have my own computer, it will probably be infected with viruses within a month...keke! So, crossing fingers and hoping my bro will get ard to getting one.

Maybe I will discover more interesting gadgets tat I would love to own...have to start saving $ le...save save save....buy buy buy! Mwahahaha...

    Stick Drawing Pro

I chanced upon this blogsite from a link in Pitstop's blog.

    Stickgal's Blog

The blogger is a real pro at drawing stick girls and guys. She used expressions, colours and incorporate images into her drawings to make them so much more interesting than normal 2D-drawings (I am presuming the blogger is a girl coz she calls herself Stickgal...cant imagine a guy who calls himself "Stickgal" ~~ shudder ~~).

Anyway, compared to her pro drawings...my little yoga stickman looks pathetic...T_T ....yeah, frens and bro, u are all right abt how I sux at my stickman drawing...

GSS here & I Feel IT!!!

GSS started some time back and I just felt it last Sat. I am not one who goes shopping a lot...prefer sitting somewhere to eat, drink and chat with frens rather than shop. Ya...ya...I get fat tat way...so stop rubbing it in.

Anyway, tot I would have a boring lonely weekend since mum n dad went overseas...hmm, come to think of it...they are also not home on weekends when they are in Spore...so, its normally me, my computer and MapleStory...hehe...I get excited when I think abt MapleStory...and YES I have NOT gotten sick of the game...been a year plus and I still like the game, though I did cut down the no. of hours of playing already.

So, just when I tot I will have a whole Sat of mapling, Kim asked me out! Hehe...glad she did call...coz otherwise I would have rot at home. We had no idea where to go initially and had lunch at the airport. Gosh, its been so long since I have been to the airport, changed a lot...but I still love the place. Lunch at Sakae in airport was satifying...I got the distinct impression tat food at the airport has a certain standard and quality that is sometimes lacking in other places. Some Sakae outlets in neighbourhood estate have pathetic array of food and lousy taste. Was it becoz the food in airport is meant for tourists, so they are better???

After lunch, we went shopping at Tampines Mall and Century Square. It was a really good shopping spree, considering tat its hard for me to find suitable shoes, I bought 3 pairs of shoes tat day. Also bought a top and a pants. Quite a good buy for a day...Then yesterday I bought more stuffs - 2 tops, 2 bottoms and 1 pair of shoes. GSS is great!!!

Now digressing a bit...I went for 3 consecutive yoga classes last Sunday. All by Ganesh...really my favourite instructor lah. After the 1st hr, I was thinking "Ok, think I can go for another class"...but by the end of the 2nd class, I was tired and my legs were a bit weak coz of all the postures that require leg strength. So, I was lying on a sofa and resting when Ganesh came over and said "Come on let's go, dun be lazy." He meant for me to attend his 3rd class. I told him I was tired and my legs were tired too and then he reassured me tat the 3rd class was more on stretching and not really on leg strength...BLUFF ME! I was dead beat after the 3rd class...my whole body was aching and sore. I din even have the energy to maple tat night and went straight to sleep. This tells me....YES, I AM OLD ALREADY!!!

    Comeback of the Stiff Neck

T_T I feel the strain in my neck again!!! After the last attack of the Stiff Neck Syndrome, my neck and shoulder area had been feeling rather weird...uncomfortable but not exactly in pain. Then, this morning when I woke up, felt the imminent stiff neck coming back to haunt me...go away!...leave me alone! T_T

Top it off, stupid me wore one of my uncomfortable high heels to work today (just to match my dressing today...stupid! stupid! stupid!). Now besides the strain in my neck, I feel the strain in both my ankles as well!!! Wat a lousy day this is gg to be....got half a mind not to go yoga today and go straight home to sulk...but then,hmmm....maybe the sight of Ganesh will cheer me up :) ....No, I am not flower-eat / "hua chi"! He just got this really nice smile that is infectious...aiyah, hard to explain lah.

Wonder wat is causing my continuous stiff neck? Issit my pillow? Or my sleeping posture is wrong? Or coz I am heaty? Can anyone tell me wats the cause???

    Shrek 3

Went to watch Shrek 3 with Su and Sha...not really a big fan of Shrek but went to watch anyway coz of the discounted ticket tat my office offered to staff....so why not....

Its good to meet up with Su again, missed her plenty. I guess if u got used to seeing someone almost daily for nearly 2 years, u would naturally feel a sense of loss when the familiar sight suddenly went missing. Hey, not tat I am lesbian or anything close...I am just missing a fren whom I can talk to on a daily basis...we had lots of common topics: games, tv shows, k-drama, k-stars, work, gossips, personal lives, friends, etc...etc....Its not easy to find a fren whom u can share tat much with.

Anyway, I am digressing again....back to the movie. I have watched Shrek 1 a long time ago and dun really remember much abt the show except tat at the end of the show, Princess Fiona also turned into an Ogre and was together with Shrek. Then, when Shrek 2 came out, I did not even bother watching the show and dismissed it totally. So, having little memory of Shrek 1 and having not even watched Shrek 2, I went to the Shrek 3 movie without any expectation. I was pleasantly surprised tat the movie was funny, light hearted and a joy to watch.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I tot that it was really clever of the movie makers to incorporate the various fairy tale characters such as Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, the 3 little pigs, Pinocchio (OMG! I forgot how to spell his name!!! Did I get it right?), Ginger-bread Man, etc etc.

All in all, I think this movie is good if u like cartoons and comedys. But think u can wait for the DVD to be out too. Not a die die must watch movie.

    Getting Back On Track

Feeling a bit sick since yesterday. Think I must have caught the flu from my bro and his family...poor thing, virus been circulating among them one by one...heard tat Ray got fever again T_T ....if the virus came to me and left them then good le....might as well me get sick...me stronger....

Despite having blocked and running nose yesterday, I went for yoga last night...in fact, I went for 2 classes...one by Yogi and the other by Ganesh...think I miss Ganesh's lesson a lot. Still my fav instructor in tat bunch. And I was rather flattered tat he noticed my fren and my absence for last week. The moment he saw us last night, he asked why he din see us last week. And I tot he probably wouldnt notice among so many others there. The workout was really good and my nose was cleared...for a while.

But sadly it got worse today, watery eyes and continuous sneezing followed the running nose. Had wanted to take MC but just thinking abt the load of work to clear before I leave my job....well, went to work afterall. Its quite exasperating tat however fast I try to clear my work, more seems to pop up....how am I ever going to at least round off the cases in a nice way....I din wan my colleagues to take over a load of rubbish....surely I must be able to clear some rubbish before passing on to them....hmmm.....tat was the angel in my head talking....the devil's meek voice is saying "Why the hell do u care? U are leaving the place anyway and if things get cock up, u are going to get blamed, like it or not...tats how working is, u have been thru all these."

But the angel's voice is clearer this time, so I am trying my best...but god knows there will surely be some mess left no matter how hard I try.

So, I am getting back on track...going for my yoga lessons again and bucking up on my work....have to get back my momentum before July. My target is to regain at least till 70% of my old working speed before I joined my new workplace. I still remember the days in Nakamichi and Zara when I was working superly fast....wonder how I did it....god help me....I need tat kind of energy back in me.

    I Love Forum

I have created my first forum!!!

Being an IT idiot, I am proud to announce tat I have managed to take another step in the IT realm. I created a forum page for my guild in MapleStory last weekend. ^^

Surprisingly creating a forum is not as difficult as it seems. Knowing no particular host, I just went into GOOGLE and did a search on "forum creation" and got this site http://www.bestbulletinboard.com

Tried a few templates, deleted the forum and recreated it abt 3 times before I got wat I want. The end result => KaBisH Forum

Anyway, its really fun to get to know how to do blogging, forum and such. Makes me feel young again. Maybe u shld try too.

    Anecdote - For Laughs :P

Some of u might have heard this real life story but I just tot to share with those of u who havent.

This happened to me 2 days ago when I was taking the MRT home after work. I decided to visit the toilet in the MRT station as I could not endure till I get home :P

When I entered the toilet, a lady came in right behind me and went in the cubicle next to me. After I was done and washed my hands, I turned to open the door. But GOSH! I could not open the door and was utterly shocked to find the door locked!!! "When did they lock the door?", "How am I getting out?", "Who should I call for help?"...then I started frantically trying the handle and banging the door, hoping someone outside or whoever locked the door could hear and open it for me. Then, I remembered the lady who came in after me...a sense of relief came over as I knew there was someone else trapped in the toilet with me (less scary tat way). As I turnd to look at the cubicle which the lady was still in, I saw another door to the right of the locked door. @_@ !!!! The door on the right is the actual door out!!!

The locked door which I was trying to open was the storeroom door...zzzzzzzz.....it was such an embarrassing moment for me tat I just scurried out of the toilet before the other lady come out.

Yah, yah...go ahead and laugh...I agree tat it was really quite funny.

    Finally!!!

Finally handed in my resignation letter just now. 2 yrs in this current job was the time I set for myself and I did it. Was really happy and excited when I got the offer from the law firm. After so much of trying to get into one, I finally secured myself a position. So, I guess the interview which I had on Monday wasnt tat bad. I was right abt the 70% chance of getting the job, though now its 100%...hehe...

Much preparation need to be done before I start work there in July. Have to get mentally prepared to work in a stressful environment. Must start bucking up on my working speed and alertness...been slacking too much in my current job. Too much slacking must not be good. Need to be more on the ball.

Think I am finally moving towards the new chapter of my life. When I chose to study part time degree in Management with Law, I had the idea to go into this area of work...more specifically, I wanted to work in a law firm. But once I graduated, think I din stand a good chance in my applications because of my "non-pure" law degree and having no experience in working in the legal industry. So, maybe I shld thank god for the chance to work in my current job coz besides getting some (however small) exposure to legal related work, it allows me time to tide over the lousy job market 2 years ago. Now tat the job market is vibrant again (and so the rumours say), the future is looking brighter for a lot of pple.

So many 'finally's in this post...but I am really grateful for my life thus far. If not for certain decisions in my life, think I will not get this far...it could have turned out totally different. Therefore, I thank all my friends and family who have been there for me all my years of existence in this earth. Without u pple, I wonder wat will become of me...* touched *
