Shitty Day
Today is a SHITTY DAY! Forgive my language, but I felt as if I dropped into a shit hole at work today. T_T
So many things went wrong at work and left me frustrated and helpless. Files are stacking up on my table and shelves and I have basically NO TIME to complete my work. I guess lamenting my misery does not help matters either.
However, I am glad that I did retain some of my humour...below is a conversation I had with a colleague:

Some Photos
Havent posted for some time coz I had another busy week. Since it was my sat duty last week, I knocked off early at 5pm and went for 3 days of yoga instead of the usual 2. In addition to tat, I met my maple buddies last thursday for dinner and coffee. Dark and Yan, its great to meet up with u gals!!! ^^
My weekend was even more occupied with doing Guild Quest in maplestory (if u are a non-mapler, dun ask...its too complicated to explain) and watching Taiwan drama "Smiling Pasta" on youtube. I have this tendency to get hooked on taiwan dramas when I start watching them on youtube...couldnt stop myself. Though the storyline and plot in Smiling Pasta seems kinda stupid and illogical, I still couldnt help liking it. :P And my bro was like "Gosh, I cant stand tat show, its totally stupid that they can talk abt 1 issue for a whole or 2 episodes." Haha...he keeps complaining abt how the story sux...keke...aiyo, its typical taiwan idol drama ma...I got used to it le wo...
Here are some photos taken on the day of Su's farewell dinner:
Introducing Torto and Me!!!

The Man In The Vineyard
I completed this show abt 2 weeks ago but was too lazy to update on blog :P
An average k-drama starring the female actress who acted in Goong-The Princess Hours. The male actor is not really the typical male leads u see in shows, he is neither famous nor handsome...but I think he fits in the role quite well and he does act pretty ok.
The story is abt a city girl, who grew up in Seoul, suddenly came to inherit a huge plot of vineyard in the countryside from a distant relative. The condition that she has to fulfill to receive the inheritance is to live and work in the vineyard for a year. There she met a farmer who is actually an educated researcher who chose to live as a farmer instead of pursuing fame and wealth. Though she disliked this guy at first, she had to learn farming methods from him and grew to depend on this honest reliable man. The stories then goes on with how this city girl slowly adjusted to life in the country and rivals appeared in the show in the form of the girl's dream guy and the farmer's ex-girlfriend.
In summary, the show is funny at some points and is watchable. But not wat I would say as fantastic.
RATING FOR SHOW: ** (out of 5 stars)

Missing sU...
Su has left my workplace. She has officially converted from "my colleague" status to "my friend".
Still remember her as the quiet gal sitting opposite me at work. We had lots of laughs, chats, discussions and discussions over the past year. Now tat she is gone, the silence became deafening and believe it or not, I am dozing off at work even more...OMG! I just dozed off while typing this post and jerked awake suddenly, causing my fingers to hit the keyboard suddenly...gosh...xia suay!

Late<>Late<>Late
This is a very late and long post...was suppose to post this last Sunday...but well, as u can see I am late (just as the title suggests). It was a crazily busy week compared with my usual mudane schedule. My usual routine is wake up > work > home-maple/watch drama > sleep.
Lets recap wat I did last week...think I will be pretty impressed myself by the end of it. ^^
Monday, 2 Apr
After work at 6pm, went for Hot Yoga at 6.45pm. The instructor, Senthil, is from OUB Centre. It was a tough workout with me going breathless and dizzy quit a few times during tat hour. At the end of it, we were contemplating whether to continue a 2nd session of hot yoga coz my fav instructor, Ganesh, is up from 8pm to 9pm. We did went in for the 2nd session but I gave up after a few mins...Ganesh looked pretty disappointed when I went out of his class T_T
Then while waiting for KW to complete her 2nd session, I sat outside watching a belly dancing class. Was so impressed with the instructor's dance moves and when my vision turned to the students...haha...they all looked so confused and their moves were kinda contradicting. Well, I did benefit from sitting there for that 1 hr, coz Senthil who was also watching the belly dancing started chatting with me and even gave me a little tips abt how to breathe when doing yoga. ^^
Reached home abt 11pm plus tat night...tired sia...but still watched "The Rose" drama on youtube before sleeping...
Tuesday, 3 Apr
Met fren for dinner after work. We went to Glutton's Corner near Esplanade. The food there is fairly good but the service SUX BIG TIME! There is absolutely no order when buying and ordering the food. I ordered and paid for fried oyster and had to wait for abt 15mins before I got it coz pple who stood nearer the stall gets their order first even though they ordered later...and there is NO queue. Haiz...so upset...then the Hokkien Prawn Mee is still ok lah...I ordered and though I collected a bit later, the lady just took from the plates of mee and passed me one. The man at the satay stall "best" ah, I stood there waiting to order and he just ignored me...at one point, he even walked off to another stall to take cutlery. When I finally ordered, still have to wait 5 mins before collecting the satays.
SERVICE IN S'PORE SUX!!!!!!!!!
After dinner, we did a little shopping in Marina Square and had ice-cream at Ben & Jerry's in Suntec. Reached home abt 11pm plus again...slept late again coz still watched drama (think its a habit le).
Wednesday, 4 Apr
I went for a later hot yoga class at 8pm coz its Ganesh's class. So was dilly dallying in the office before going to the studio. Yoga went exceptionally well that night. I employed the breathing technique that Senthil taught me and I did not run out of breath that night. Good!
Reached home at 11pm plus again and guess wat? Yeah...drama again...late night again...
Thursday, 5 Apr
Eve of Good Friday and celebration night out with my colleagues. A sort of farewell for Su too. Think I will miss her dearly when she leaves. T_T
We had BBQ Steamboat at Seoul Garden in Marina Square coz Sha was dying for steamboat...haha...well, I dun mind too actually but I have been thinking of Mushroom Pot lately...
After we got seated, I sneaked off to buy gift for Su. I got a cute cuddly Torto (a tortoise soft toy) for Su ^^ ....he is sooooo cute!!! Think Su loves it too :) Waiting for photos from Su to put up on blog.
Reached home at 11pm plus again! Wonder wats the curse...keke...but best part...I mapled and watched youtube that night all the way till 4am plus..haha...slept at 5am on Friday morning :P
Friday, 6 Apr
Its Good Friday and I woke up at 8.30am...gosh! only 3hrs plus of sleep. Played with Charmaine and Ray a bit when they came over in the afternoon.
Met Amrita and Sky for dinner at Bugis at 6pm plus. Been quite some time since I went there...seems everywhere is changing. I am getting way outdated. It was great catching up with them, especially Sky coz its really difficult to meet up with her. While having dessert at Gelare at City Link...I went kinda sheepish and suggested going home at 9pm plus...amazing huh?!!! Keke...too many late nights already...too tired by then.
But when I reached home at 10pm plus...I went straight for computer again. Hehe...early night? Fat chance, mapled and watched youtube again till 4am plus again. -_|||
Saturday, 7 Apr
Had a more decent sleep and woke up after 12pm. Had no agenda that day so stayed home whole day to maple and watch youtube. All the way till 3am plus...keke!!! Another late night...am I doing a night marathon?
Sunday, 8 Apr
Woke up at 12pm plus and immediately on computer to watch The Rose drama...it was getting really exciting then...absolutely just love the show (read my previous write up on it ba).
It was Bro's anniversary and Sis-in-law's bdae...so they dropped Charmaine and Ray off at my place before they went jalan. Hehe....Ray soooo cute!!! I was feeding him during lunch and he just soooo love me (I like to think that ^^)...was reaching out for me to carry and for food of coz. Played with both of them for most part of the afternoon. Before I gave up and went back to my youtubing...by then too addicted to The Rose drama to stop.
After they all went back, I continued with my mapling and youtubing. Think I played till 3am plus again...and u would think that I will sleep early coz will be working next day....NOT!
Monday, 9 Apr
Monday Blues...plus the "hangover" effect of watching The Rose...so, a bit stoned. I really like the character "Kui" in that show. Though I am not a fan of Joe Cheng...but I think he absolutely nailed that character in the show...his acting was really natural and good there.
Nothing much happened for the day...just more mapling when I got home...all the way til 2am plus...haha...I never learn huh...
Tuesday, 10 Apr
Still tired from the many late nights...luckily went for Yoga Therapy after work instead of the usual Hot Yoga class. Yoga Therapy is conducted in a normal studio without the hot temperature and the moves are slightly easier to catch on. I find that the class helps me to stretch more than hot yoga and is not as tiring. Whereas hot yoga basically makes u workout all ur muscles and makes u SWEAT! So, I din really feel that tired after class...even a little refreshed.
Got home abt 10pm and was mapling a bit before surrendering to watching DVD till 2am plus.
Wednesday, 11 Apr
Felt really tired the whole...dunno why? Now that my sleeping habit is back to norm (sleeping at 1am to 2am is normal for me), I tot all the weariness will be gone...but no...haiz...or maybe I am just getting sick of my job...well, mapled more at night and watched DVD till 2am plus again..hehe...
Looks pretty impressive hor...so many many late nights....hehe...but I am kinda glad I am less busy this week. I am too old and dun have so much energy now le.

Mistaken Pregnancy?
*@%^@#^%*!*....I got mistaken for a pregnant lady this morning while I was taking MRT to work! $#&@^%^!*&%*!
As usual, I was taking my gym bag and holding on to the hand ring on top. Closed my eyes for some peace and nap while standing upright. Suddenly hear a lady call out "Miss, miss...u wan to take a seat?" My sleepy eyes opened and I looked at this young lady sheepishly while replying "No, its ok." Then I closed my eyes and continued my interrupted nap...at the back of my mind, a naggy thought - "Did the young lady think I was pregnant?"
When the MRT stopped at Dhoby Ghaut, as usual, a lot of pple get off the train at this interchange. Lots of seats were available then but I din wana sit coz its only 2 stops from Chinatown. No point lah. Then a lady beside me was eyeing the seat behind me...then decided to ask (in Mandarin), "Xiao Jie, ni yao zhuo ma?"
The naggy thought again - "What?!! Another person thinks I am pregnant and need a seat???!!!!"...but I smiled politely and replied "Its ok, I am reaching my stop soon."
Gosh!!! What is this? When did I get pregnant and not know it myself???!!! Arghhh!!!! T_T Or maybe the misunderstanding is coz of the blouse I am wearing today (tats wat my colleagues said).

The Rose - Bette Midler
The only english song that I remember in The Rose drama...hmm, maybe its the only english song inside...forgot le :P
Kept wondering wat was the title of the song until I came upon it in the Chinese Music Blog which I found and blog abt previously.

Shang Kou - Zhang Zhi Cheng (Z-Chen)
This song appears on parts of the show featuring Kui (I think...).
Wonder if I got this concept right, a lot of shows have songs that matched to certain characters. Such that whenever the character appear, that song will be on...hehe. Interesting concept too.

Ye Zi - Ah Sang
This is I feel the best song in The Rose OST, also the ending song of the drama. I ever heard of the singer Ah Sang but never got into listening to her songs...so guess I have been missing out a lot...just like I have missed out on Tank previously.
Well, here goes...enjoy...

Qiang Wei Zhi Lian (aka The Rose)
One of the MOST TOUCHING show I have ever watched! Gosh, my heart went all out to the characters in the show T_T cried plenty throughout the show.
My favourite character in the show is Han Kui...go watch the show and u will understand why...
Got the following synopsis from the web...of coz not written by me...as if I have the patience... :P
For fans of Taiwanese girl band, S.H.E, this drama is a must to watch. For those who are not yet fans, after watching this drama, you'll fall in love with them, especially with Ella, as she is really endearing in it.
Bai He (Ella) is a chubby and plain-looking girl and the story starts with her being dumped by her boyfriend for a prettier girl. When she returns home, she finds that her grandmother has passed away. This portion is especially sad, when Ella reads a letter left by her grandmother. From the letter, she finds out that her mother, who abandoned her when she was young, is actually Han Li (Ye Tong), a famous and beautiful actress.
Thus, Bai He sets out to look for her mother; armed with some sort of a document that proves that she is really Han Li's daughter. As she is struggling with her bags along the slope that leads to Han Li's house, she meets this guy who is extremely aloof and refuses to help her. When she finally reaches the house, she is surprised to find the guy entering it.
It turns out that he is her half-brother Han Jin (Jerry Huang). In that family, there are three siblings, whose fathers are all different. Fu Rong (Lu Ming Jun) is the eldest daughter, followed by Jin, then Kui (Joe Cheng). Their names all represent flowers, and they are all blessed with good looks. Thus they are doubtful when Bai He claims to be their sibling, until she produces the document. There is a funny moment here when Kui whips out a baseball bat to threaten Bai He.
When Han Li returns, she allowed Bai He to stay, but she treats Bai He like a maid. She also does a very shocking thing by cutting away Bai He's long hair.
The Han family is made up of very weird people. Fu Rong is the cold, distant beauty who stays at home everyday. She is also an observant person. Jin is cold towards Bai He, but when he's drunk, he becomes very gentle towards her, and has the habit of going to her room at night to sleep next to her. Kui is like a childish mischievous kid, and he has a crush on his brother Jin.
But as Bai He stays with them, they all learn to accept her as part of the family. One day, Bai He finds out that Han Li is actually not her real mother. Her mother is actually Han Li's best friend. Another shocking revelation is that although she is not related to Jin and Fu Rong, she is related to Kui. That is because Bai He and Kui share the same father. Han Li had an affair with her best friend's boyfriend, who is Bai He's father, while married to her fourth husband.
Kui is extremely upset when he found out, because he has started to develop feelings for Bai He, and he does not wish to be related to her. They also do not tell Jin the truth, as they are worried that he would not be able to accept it. Bai He is the only one who has been able to bring back a little warmth to him, ever since his girlfriend, Qin (Selina) died. If Jin finds out that Bai He isn't his sister, he will ignore her, and sink back to depression.
Thus begins a triangle relationship. Bai He likes Jin, while Kui likes Bai He. Jin has feelings for Bai He, but he doesn't admit it, and keeps saying that Bai He is only his sister.
There are many things that happen in between, which is going to be extremely long to write, so I'll leave it to you all to watch the show.
But in the end, Jin finds out the truth, and finally admits his feelings. Bai He and Jin also begin a relationship, But that doesn't mean that is the end of their problems. They face opposition from Han Li, but fortunately, in the end everything works out.
About the cast:
Bai He:
Ella did a good job. She was convincing as the plain but kind and determined girl. Ella also cried buckets in this show, and I'm impressed by how easily she shed the tears on cue. She also had good chemistry with the actors who played Jin and Kui.
Jin:
Jerry did a good job for a newbie. He's actually a basketball player in real life. He stands at 1.93m tall and has Eurasian looks, but he does not have any mixed blood. He played the role of a man devoted to his dead girlfriend very well, though at certain parts he was a little stiff (but that's because he's new to acting).
Kui:
Brian portrayed Kui extremely well. His facial expressions were excellent, when expressing his love for Bai He and when his feelings were in turmoil. He had good chemistry with Ella and my favourite scenes were the ones with both of them in it.
Fu Rong:
Lu Ming Jun had the aloofness required for the part of Fu Rong, as well as gentleness, which made her role endearing. Her scenes with the comic artist were also fun to watch.
Han Li:
Ye Tong was good in her role. She portrayed the two sides of her character well.
RATING FOR SHOW: ***** (out of 5 stars)
My favourite character in the show is Han Kui...go watch the show and u will understand why...
