Slipping Into Momentum
I have this simple theory abt work-life harmony...its like the game "The Sims"!
Ever heard abt this game? It is like a mock real life game where u can create a person/persons/family/a whole neighbourhood (we shall collectively call them "Char"). This Char will start off in a simple house where u will decide wat basic necessities Char will have inside the house with a small sum of $. Char will have to eat, sleep, urine, shit and bathe just like ordinary pple. But in order to do all that, u need to buy food, bed, toilet bowl system, shower/bath tub for Char. It all boils down to "$"...just like in real life.
So the first point we learn from The Sims is tat - we need to earn $$$$$
Then once u have found a job for Char and taken care of the $ factor, u have to make sure Char has entertainment and communication with others. Char have to make friends with neighbours and watch tv/play games/read books/go out in order to feel happy and content. If the happiness level drops below the requirement, Char may refuse to go wake up and be late for work or even refuse to go to work at all....which means no $!!!
Same applies in real life....we have to find ways to make ourselves feel happy. That is wat I concluded after 2 months of working in the job...I have to schedule sufficient time in a day to have my daily dosage of happiness, ie. mapling, watching tv, watching dvd/vcd, or going out with friends.
Another thing worth mentioning abt The Sims is the ability for Char to learn things/skills...from reading books, playing logic games, painting, etc...self improvement is important too.
With various factors satisfied, Char may have a shot at getting promoted in the job and earn even more $.
There are many others stuff in The Sims tat mirrored wat we encounter in real life...too many to mention all of them here....maybe u should try the game when u are free...but I think Gamers will find it a boring game.
This is a weird entry huh? Well, I just find the likeness of The Sims to real life strangely similar...worth mentioning.

Did all of u feel the TREMOR???
Did all of u feel the ~ tremor ~ today?
I was working until 7pm plus tonight and felt my world "shook". Was happily chatting with my colleagues when one of them shouted out of her room - "Did anyone feel the whole office shook?"...din really make out wat she shouted until my other colleague told me.
No wonder I was feeling dizzy then. Initially I tot it was my usual "ping xue" causing my giddiness...then my colleagues affirmed that it was our whole surrounding shaking and not just in my head. Dunno whether to be relieved or worried...
News reported 3 earthquake shocks experienced in Indonesia with the force of 6 to 8 (one of them is 7.9)on the Richter scale. No wonder Singapore felt such a big tremor which lasted a few minutes.
So wat should we do when we experience an earthquake? Got a few simple points which I caught on the news:
- take cover under sturdy table or door archway
- stay away from windows or anything with glass surfaces
- stay away from wall with hanging objects
- DO NOT take the lifts
- evacuated to open field/area if possible
My office building management is really lousy in their emergency measures. We only heard the PA system sound after the tremor and they wrongly announced that the "fire alarm" rang and they are looking into the cause. Then after a couple of minutes, they announced that it was a false alarm.
Only when my colleague called them and informed tat it was actually a "tremor" felt and not a "fire"...then they corrected themselves on the PA system and told everyone tat it was a tremor but its over and tat everyone should remain calm...duh...duh...more duh...not calm then how? Wait for their announcement, we all DEAD le lah (if there is really an earthquake in Singapore).
In comparison, the management/security personnel in Ocean Towers is much more efficient and sensible. When I rushed down to take my yoga class at 8pm, they barred all access into the building and I could see that pple inside were also evacuated out of the building. This is wat I call "Emergency Measures".
Haiz...missed yoga again today...been lazing too much lately....sigh...

Huan Huan Ai
However, I did manage to complete this new Taiwan drama - Huan Huan Ai.
Quite a light hearted drama in the beginning with all the sweetness of a romance show. The kind and innocent teenage girl meets the bad tempered and mean wastrel from a rich family. She secretly admires the male lead's outstanding elder bro but unknowingly developed feelings for the male lead later on. The love relationship is similar to wat was in the Korean drama "Summerbeach". Rather expected and nothing out of the ordinary.
Sadly, the show became a bit too teary nearing the end. I would have preferred if the show stayed cheerful and light throughout.
Female lead is acted by Yang Cheng Ling, male lead is He Jun Xiang (I thought he really resembles Luo Zhi Xiang from certain angles) and the male lead's bro is Wang Chuan Yi.
RATING FOR SHOW: *** (out of 5 stars)

Food Poisoning
I kena Food Poisoning over the weekend...culprit???
Maybe it is:
1) Korean Hotpot + Tiramisu Ice Cream + Potato Chips (on Sat)
OR
2) Unfresh Fried Oyster + Weird Tasting Hokkien Mee (on Wed)
Hmm...it could be becoz of the wed's combo making my stomach weak and therefore my body system broke down on sat when I ate food which aggravated the situation. I had diarrhoea the whole of sat afternoon until sun morning when I went to see a doc.
Think I am better now but still unable to get food to remain in my body....manage to eat some Chee Cheong Fan just now...see if it will come out again T_T (zzzz.....I am not being disgusting....this is a normal thing for food poisoning).
Anyway, an advice for all...if ur stomach feels weak or u dun feel too good, dun go make it worse by eating: Spicy or food tat has a strong taste...go for plain food ba....better be safe than sorry.
Ratatouille
A light hearted show about a rat who is different from the rest of his kind. He has a keen sense of smell and taste and wanted to "cook"!
Its kinda hard to imagine a rat cooking...how would anyone dare to eat wat a rat cooks?
Of coz the show also has a fair share of touching scenes about how this rat made friends with a human and how they helped each other.
Wont say tat this is a must watch show...but wont be a waste of money if u do watch it.
