This is another backdated entry...as usual I am slow at posting entries, so dun grumble at me T_T
Last week we celebrated 2 of our colleagues/frens' birthdays (both December BABIES). We ordered this lovely Elmo cake from POLAR for them.
Isn't Elmo CUTE??!!! ^^
They actually offer a few themes in POLAR which u can choose characters from: Sesame Street, Looney Tunes, Hello Kitty & Powerpuff Girls. All are very cute!!! Perfect for Children but I guess great for adults too.
Anyway, we went to this Middle Eastern restaurant at Arab Street call Amirah's Grill to have our dinner. Food was sumptuous and pretty good. Worth a try if u are open to other flavours: http://www.amirahsgrill.com/default.asp
Mixed Kebab Set
Mushroom Fish Set
Grilled?? Chicken Set (actually I forgot the name of this dish :P )
Wat I find most interesting is the tea set which they serve their mint tea in...real nice...look!
After dinner, we left the restaurant and ended up at some hawker center to cut and eat the Elmo cake....WITHOUT A KNIFE!!!! Hahaha, so funny...Helen had to go borrow a butter knife from one of the western stall there. Here's a pic on one of the birthday girl with the cake!
The cake was nice except for the top layer which is made of icing...so it tasted a bit weird. And of coz, we hear screams from Elmo while we cut him apart! Hahaha...so evil!!!

Flu vs Cold??!!!
Well, as I was saying...I visited the doctor and this is wat happened.
I went to the doctor in central rather than the one near my home. Although it costs more and the waiting time is longer, I think the medicine works better on me.
First, I went in and gave my name. The nurse/assistant mumbled "17" while facing her colleague. While I took a seat I was wondering wat tat number was for (she did not explain to me) when I saw a call number display...so 17 is my queue number! Does the nurse think that I am a regular in their clinic such tat I will know abt the queue system! The number was at 12, so I was thinking...maybe not too long a wait. So, then I was just sitting there bored and observing others. A few other patients came in and they were promptly informed by the nurse that the usual Dr Lim was not ard and a Dr Lee was covering (I was NOT told!)...some minded and went out saying that they will come another day...other said it was ok and took a queue number too.
Then, I heard the nurse said to her colleague that she cannot find my medical card. Saw her looking through the cabinets and even went to another room...afterwhich she finally gave up and put a fresh new card for me. I waited for abt 1 hr before my turn to see the doctor...really long waiting time if u ask me. Dr Lee was a young chap, I havent seen him before and the first question he asked was "So, wats wrong with u?". I answered "flu". Then, he asked "Wats ur symptons?" So, I listed the usual "Running nose, blocked nose, sore throat which developed into cough, greenish phlegm but no fever". He then said "That's not flu, its just cold. Many mistook cold for flu. Flu, such as bird flu and other flus, starts with fever and there will not be running or blocked nose. Cold on the other hand does not start with fever, although it might develop into a fever later on." I do appreciate the explanation coz now at least I know the difference between a flu and a cold. Since I have a fresh new medical card...he had to ask abt my medical history, asthma, allergy and blah blah...the routine lah. Then he asked what I felt was a stupid question "So, are u working?" How old does he think I am? Or does he think I am a delinquent who laze ard? I know he just wanted to know if I needed MC but couldnt he just ask "Do u need MC?". Anyway, after seeing him, I waited another long 15 mins before I got my medicines and went home to my lovely bed.
I wonder...why do some clinics torture their patients like tat with their long waiting time? Dun they know tat we are feeling horrible as it is being sick? Only thing I am glad of is...the medicine seems to be working...although not really speedily.

Busy Schedule then Sick!
Been quite some time since I last blogged. Was pretty swarmed by the amount of things to do (both work and personal) lately.
Lets rewind to the previous weekend 9 Dec and 10 Dec...busy weekend! It was a Zoo Trip with my eldest bro and family on tat Sat. Pretty fun but of course tiring...4 adults juggling Charmaine and Ray was still a challenge. Lazy Charmaine kept wanting her parents to carry her, think she was too lazy to walk....haha...reminds me of...ME! I remember that till I was in Kindergarden, I still wanted my mum to carry me :P Well, we took lotsa photos...but I am not too sure if I will get those copies...if I do, I will post it up k!
Then Sun, 10 Dec was a visit to my grandma...pre-birthday celebration. It was...as "cold" as ever. I think most of my relatives, including myself, were there only to show "face". Sad but true. Wonder wat will happen when my grandma pass away...hmmm...think maybe then we probably wouldnt have this kind of family gatherings anymore.
Ok, then to last week. I was pretty much busy at work updating my cases status on the older cases. Apparently the Big Boss wanted to review the 90s cases...so all of us were like rushing like mad! Then the day came for reporting and our Big Boss was on MC!...haiz....not sure when it will be postponed to. And then, only heard last week that one of our colleague was leaving...haiz....pple come and go so much in this dept...guess it cant be helped coz a portion of us are contract staff. So again, there was re-shuffling of cases and wa-lah, I think I got more work to do again! Haiz.....sianz....wonder when is my turn to leave?
Last weekend was a sickly weekend. Worst I have felt for some time. The cold which I tot was cured the previous week came back on Sat, 16 Dec. While I was decorating my home for the Xmas season, I had bolts of sneezing and it started. Running nose, sore throat...and a wedding dinner to attend tat night! No wonder I din really enjoy the night...was practically swallowing my food tat night (not meaning eating fast, but I always eat fast...I meant I was trying to literally swallow the food). Sunday was not any better...spent mostly in bed...then yesterday, the coughing came...wat I dreaded most - phlegm! Phlegm was not just disgusting to me coz they are greenish and sticky...but coz they block my breathing passageway. From past experience, I know coughing can easily lead to a relapse of my asthma...so I decided to be good and visited the doctor. I will post an entry abt the visit to the doctor later.
So today, I am back at work and still sick!

Interpretations
I had this thought last week but din really have time to put it up on blog - how issit that different pple have different interpretations of things happening around them? Its amazing how the human brain works. Our interpretations are dependable on our perception and history which are often affected by wat we have experienced, seen, felt or knew in the past. The key word is PAST.
For example, there is this tea lady (vendor from a stall/cafe near our office) who comes by our office daily around 10 plus to 11 plus in the morning, pushing a cart of food and drinks. Selling coffee, tea, breads, cakes and sometimes bee hoon.
Well, the tea lady does this ritual ringing of bell whenever she walks past. And one day while she was doing her rounds, I suddenly looked at my colleagues and asked "Aaaa, wats tat ringing...chey, its the tea lady." Then KW said, "Haha...I tot it was Santa Claus." Sha added "No lah, I think the ringing sounded more like a Taoist Priest doing his rituals." But guess wat was my reply to them??? I said, "Hmm...at first, I tot it was the ice cream man...."
......................
Santa Claus, Taoist Priest and Ice Cream Man in the Office!!!????
No, we are not crazy! We are just affected by our PAST experiences. Probably KW watched too much children's show or cartoons and so believe that Santa exists, and since it is near Xmas season, its natural she thinks of the kind old man. Sha probably seen some Taoist ritual in progress somewhere, or maybe watch too much chinese zombie shows...hahaha. And ME??? I think I am just craving for ice cream at tat time :P

Happy Feet - Review
Went to watch the movie Happy Feet with my colleagues last Tuesday. Must say tat its a rather good show. At first I was expecting a typical kidish cartoon...something akin to Magdagascar, Ice Age, Monster Inc...but I was pleasantly surprised that it was nothing boring or childish. Although the story is predictable, there are comical scenes and jokes. Here are some of the nicer pics I got...
Now a little bit abt the story. Its abt penguins as u know...like humans, penguins have different species living in different parts of the Artics. So, this specie of penguin live to mate and reproduce, and to do so, they have to sing to attract the opposite sex. However, our little hero, Mumble, CANNOT sing! Although his parents were the best singers in the tribe in their days, Mumble can at best croak (but he does tap dancing actually)! Thus, he was ostracized in his tribe and other penguins looked down on him. In every love story, there is a female lead, which in this case is Gloria who sings beautifully and although she pitied Mumble (and I think she likes him too), she did not accept Mumble coz he cant sing. One day Mumble got lost and there began his adventure.
The adventure soon became a mission for Mumble to find out the cause for shortage of fishes in the Artic areas. The Elders blamed it on Mumble's abnormality and chased him away. In order to return to his tribe, Mumble vowed to find out the cause for the shortage of fishes.
What is most interesting to note abt this movie is that it conveys a strong message to protect nature and wildlife. It reflects on man's behaviour of extracting food sources from nature at the risk of endangering other species of living things. For a movie which is being targeted at mostly children, I wonder if it is appropriate to incorporate such meaning into the show. On the other hand, this might be a good way to communicate such message across to the next generation....pros and cons I guess.

What a Day!
Some recall for the day...
Saw A LOT of dead cockroaches along the streets of Chinatown. Think I counted abt 5 of them lying in a particular spots and more along the way while I was walking to work from Chinatown MRT. I think the authorities should really do something abt this...wat if some tourists decide to start off their touring day early and come down to Chinatown, only to find a whole army of dead cockroaches...super unsightly! Eewwwww.....well, read my previous posting -
DEAD COCKROACHES
Had a hectic 1/2 day at work coz I had an IT briefing in the afternoon. Went down to Treasury for the briefing and I was actually quite interested in the topics that they were covering - Wikipedia, Blogging and Podcasting. An IT idiot like me would probably need this kind of lessons. Now, a million dollar question: "What happened during the time I sat in the IT briefing?" Those who know me well would have guessed....yeh! I slept through most parts of the briefing...actually, I was only awake at the blogging part, which is really useless coz they only touch on wat is blogging, some interesting blogs and where u can go to create ur own blog (which is duh...wat do u think u are reading?).
After the briefing, there was a sudden downpour and Su & myself were stuck at Funan for a while. So we went up to Challenger, wanting to see if there is any arcade/game station where we can waste some waiting time. We did manage to play X-box a while before some boy came up to me and ask to play...haiz...no choice, have to relinquish the controller. OMG, I LOST TO A BOY!!!
On my way home on the bus, I actually saw a car with some Watsons plastic bags covering the rear of the car. Initially I was wondering why the car owner pasted Watsons plastic bags on his rear window...then I realised that....the car has NO REAR WINDOW! Wahaha....
Then, when I reached home, I saw a BIG flying cockroach!!! I was chasing it ard like crazy and trying to kill it while scaring myself half to death...but I kept missing...finally, it hid under my washing machine and disappeared. Funny it din occur to me to use Baygon on the cockroach -_|||

Falling Into Routine
Besides the usual everyday routine such as wake up, get ready, go to work, work, go home, maple and sleep...I discovered my very own weekly routine.
Weekly Routine
Monday - Monday Blues, I feel sucky & not feel like going to work. Taking leave is always on my mind on this day of the week.
Tuesday - Suppose to go swimming but I always manage to convince myself to go home and maple.
Wednesday - CORN SOUP DAY!!!! See my previous posting: Corn Soup T_T
Thursday - Late night day...coz the next day is Friday, I keep convincing myself that sleeping late is ok coz can slack at work on Friday since weekend is near.
Friday - Only 1 thing in mind: 5.30PM ....Why? My off work time.
Saturday - Maple Day ^^
Sunday - Family Day. My eldest bro & his family comes over for lunch and I get to play with my niece and nephew (but normally I will get tired of playing with them and go back to mapling).
Haha...not bad hor...I am quite amazed at myself too. Often wonder how issit tat human beings can fall into routine work/things so easily? Its like our body and mind mould themselves to suit wats happening around us and when it catches the pattern, the same things just repeat themselves. Dun know wat I am talking abt??? :P well...nevermind...me talking crap again....

Somewhat Happening Weekend ^^
I finally came out of my cocoon and walked out of my home last week. I met up w Kim last Friday for dinner at Bishan and some late night shopping at a pasar malam there...been so long since I went to jalan at pasar malams...hehe...quite interesting to see wat they sell nowadays. I am preparing my 10 X'mas for my family and managed to settle 2 gifts. Holes burning in my pocket!!!
On Sunday, I went out with my bros, sis-in-law, niece and nephew for lunch. Due to my laziness, I only had 2 pieces of pineapples for breakfast! And I had to endure hunger till 2pm plus (or was it 3pm?) for lunch...coz Charmain had to get her 'beauty' sleep till nearly 2pm, or else she will be cranky and unbearable. I have no idea why we selected to go Suntec for lunch but the buffet at Sizzler made it worthwhile the wait. It has been quite some time since I ate at Sizzler too...I simply love their garlic bread...mmm...so tasty! The rest of the food was also delicious. Only disappointment was the ice-cream (weird hor?)...well, it was coz the ice-cream came out of the machine too soft and watery and melted so quickly tat its really a bit messy to eat.
"Hmm...wat are these 2 dishes???" (above & below)
Have u guessed it? They are my creative masterpiece!!!...using leftover crumbs of food. Once again, all shall behold my artistic nature :P Come on...dun puke! They actually look like real dishes wat!
After lunch was a little shopping...which din yield much except for my bro's new handphone. I think its really tough to shop around with kids. But well, it was fun for me to push Ray's pram and see him sleeping sweetly. He is such a CUTE baby!!! Oh, then there is this cute thing when we were travelling home in my 2nd bro's car. We stopped by NTUC for my eldest bro to buy some grocery. So, the rest of us waited in the car and I pass Ray over to my 2nd bro to play with for a little while. Then Ray was so excited and was chuckling and laughing while trying to get his hands on the wheels...wahaha....So CUTE!!! He even tried to bite the wheels....wait...he tries to bite everything he can get his teeth on. He bit on the seat belt too. When Ray was passed back to me for us to continue out journey home...he whined loudly protesting being taken away from "his" wheels...LOL! CUTE baby!!! (Hmm...how many times have I said CUTE?)

New Blogskin, New Look
It has been a year since I started blogging and I think its time to bring my blog to the next level!??? Wonder wat I mean...well, its simple, to improve the presentation of my blog, I have decided to do away with the old boring blogskin and give a brighter new look to my blog.
After searching through the many blogskins available on websites, I finally find a perfect one which I like. Sadly, due to my limited HTML knowledge...it was a struggle to edit the layout of the blogskin. I tried to update it one of the day last week and ended up giving up halfway coz it was just too complicated. Then, I tried again yesterday and after much editing and previewing...I finally managed to get the LOOK tat I wanted. But guess wat??? When I tried to save the template, there was a connection failure and everything was lost!!! Aiyo, my whole heart fell at tat T_T Had to redo the whole thing again and crack my brain recalling the changes.
Anyway, the new blogskin is up now, and I hope that all of u like it. Some might ask why I pick PIGs to be the theme of my blog...hmm...no reason...I like pigs (cartoon ones I mean...dun think I will like real life pigs).

How R Song Titles Translated???
Recently I have been organizing some Chinese music files in my computer to delete the duplicate files and re-categorizing the remaining.
As my computer is unable to read Chinese Characters, the real challenge comes when I need to rename some of the files. Hanyu Pinyin seems to work out pretty well and we are able to recognize the songs from there. But when the songs are named in English!?? Ever wondered how some song titles are translated from Chinese into English and become....barely recognisable?? These are some examples (taken from Ping Guan's album):-
1)Teng Ni De Ze Ren -> Uxorious Responsibility
2)Zui Xiang Nian De Ji Jie -> The Missing Season
3)Ming Ming Heng Ai Ni -> Really Love You
4)Zui Jing Bi Jiao Fan -> Feel Boring Recently
5)Ai Qing Bu Neng Zuo Bi Jiao -> Incomparable Love
6)Wo Zhao Ni Zhao Le Hao Jiu -> Looking For You For Long Time
7)Ai Qing Zhuan Wan De Di Fang -> The Place Love Turn Around
8)Qing Ni Xiang Xin Wo -> Trust Me Please
9)Pei Ni Yi Qi Lao -> Be With You Forever
10)Fen Bu Kai De Liang Ge Ren -> The Couple That Cannot Be Separated
No.10 song title is a bit long so when it appear on screen it shows "The Couple That Cannot Be Se..." and I tot the last word is "Seen"...hahaha....imagine what the Chinese words would be then??? "Kan Bu Jian De Liang Ge Ren" OR "Jian Bu De Ren De Liang Ge Ren"....wahahaha....
This sets me to thinking abt how Korean actors/actresses had their names translated into Chinese names (maybe even unknown to them sometimes). Cant quote any examples at the moment but I do remember there was some confusion in the past on some names.
Well, sure hope that in future, translators would try to do a better job to translate between languages in order to find the closest meaning and not just plainly translate word for word.

Star Bloggers
I was reading Xiaxue's (Wendy) blog yesterday when I came upon her recent post regarding another blogger Dawn Yang http://dawnyang.com . It was by no means a malicious post, more like Wendy expressing her displeasure at pple comparing her with Dawn and saying that Dawn is the "Hottest Blogger", better than Wendy herself.
Personally, I dun get wat's the hype abt securing popularity thru one's blog. Hmmm, the possible advantages may be media coverage, advertisers interest to pay u for advertising their products, freebies from advertisers, free invitation to parties and events, invited to go on TV talk show....Ok, tat sounds like quite a lot of goodies...but think of the disadvantages: no privacy to post freely on own blog which is subjected to public comments, no freedom to blog as and when u like coz pple expect u to post regularly, some pple might hurl abuses and make hurtful remarks on ur looks, personality and behaviour (though Wendy said she doesnt care, but I am sure she must feel at least a little hurt to read those things), pressure to improve ur blogging style and blog coz u want pple to think u are interesting and stay interested in ur blog.
Overall, I do admire both Wendy and Dawn on their well done blogs. However, everyone shld note that they are bloggers of different style and whenever possible, stop comparing the two. Wise readers shld just read whichever style suits their taste and interest them. In my personal opinion, I like Wendy's style more. As u can see, I linked her blog to my own blog and not Dawn's :)
Though I am far from becoming a star blogger (ever), I do realise that I have improved in my blogging since when I start abt a year ago. At the start, I was merely posting on my daily happenings factually, like where I went, what I did, who I was with. Then, I evolved and put in more of my own thoughts and opinions instead of just reciting occurrences. Now, I am of a different league altogether...just read my recent posts and u will realise that I am writing creative stories (erm, bo liao though) and introducing to u the things tat I like (eg. 183 Club, K-dramas).
I will endeavour to improve further and have just decided to look into changing my blogskin...change it to something more interesting than just pink...so, be patient while I hunt and try to change it as best as I could. Erm, no worries...I wont put the blogskin as 183 Club, though I like them...think some of u might not appreciate seeing them whenever u visit my blog...hahaha....

Are Talks Just Plain Boring?
I just attended a talk this morning on service class standard. Its one of those blah-blah talk regarding what we shld do to keep up the service standard in our organization. As if boring contents is not enuff, we had a REALLY REALLY BORING speaker!
U know how pple like to grade speakers on their ability to present and engage the audience in their talks. Well, I tot I met all the lousy ones already: Monotonous, boring, soft spoken, nervous, over-enthusiastic....
This particular speaker top them all. He seems like a nice fella and all, but the moment he started his presentation, I went to 'La-la land'. He is not only monotonous, he tried to engage the audience by asking them to share experiences, but failed badly coz no one seems eager to participate. So there I was, dozing off and waking up once in a while to take a peek at wat's happening ard, only to fall right back to sleep again. Its a common thing for me to fall asleep during this type of training, talks or etc. But to sleep thru the whole session...power! well, that speaker has been condemned in my books. :P

Da Chang Poohs??!!!
The "Ha-Han" wind is blowing in Asia and almost everyone is crazy over the Korean Dramas which are on TV, SCV and DVD/VCD. Myself included of course ^_
Remember the popular drama "Da Chang Jin"? The show features a diligent and hardworking girl growing up as a palace maid and her amibition to be the Top Chef in the palace. But due to some scheming *!)%$^* in the palace, she was being framed and forced out of the palace, only to return as a Medicine Woman thereafter...and blah blah blah...its on repeat on Sat and Sunday evenings now from 7.30pm, so catch it if u are interested.
Anyway, not unlike most modern teenagers, Ah Poop and Whiny also get hooked to K-dramas. This day, Ah Poop was getting bored and decided to dress himself up...
What a fantastic get-up! Ah Poop, really pleased with his creativity for coming up with his new look, started reciting lines from Da Chang Jin.
"Hahaha!!!!" Whiny laughed loudly at the sight of Ah Poop..."Bro, dun u think u look really sissy like tat? Hahahaha...." Looking into the mirror, Ah Poop cracked up laughing together with Whiny. "Let me try! Let me try!" Whiny started whining...
The 2 of them had so much fun role-playing that they even took a pic together as memory...look at this! Aint they cute??!!! ^^

Artistic Night Out
Went out with a few colleagues last Friday for dinner at Esplanade coz Sha was craving for Japanese food. We decided upon the Japanese restaurant, Ichiban, where they served pretty nice food...except a little pricey.
Take a look at this...
and this...
U might be thinking that the dishes look plain, right??? Haha...take one more closer look at the 2 dishes...and see if u can make out wat they are...
They are actually LEFTOVERS!!! Which I have take it upon myself to arrange and make them look like actual food good enuff to serve...LOL!!!
How did it come abt? Well, we had this big bowl of ice which they had used to serve sashimi and after we had finished our food, we were talking abt the possibility of the restaurant re-using this bowl of ice. I din quite like the idea and decided to "break the ice" and make it non-recycleable. So, I was hacking into the ice with my chopsticks and soon Helen was joining in. Haha...I remember the looks we got from the patrons on the next table...boy we had a good laugh then! Wats more amazing is that I managed to design 2 dishes from the ice and leftovers and they look so good that I asked Kah Wai to take pics...hehe...such an artistic creation in an artistic environment such as the Esplanade.
After dinner, we decided to take a walk to digest the food. We went up to the rooftop for a look around the place. And we noted this piece of art hang across the rooftop - 4 rows of fabric blowing in the wind. Isnt it pretty?
The 4 of us then gave our own interpretation of the art, and as u know, different pple see art in different ways.
Kah Wai - "Ah, wats the name of the Japanese fish?...Oh yah, Koi...tat look like Koi fishes swimming ard..." (for your info, those fabrics are mostly redish and orangy in colour)
Sha - "I thought it looks more like waves, can even imagine the sound of waves"
Helen - "They look like kites to me, they are so colourful"
Me - "Hmm...no lah, they are laundry being put out to dry..." (followed by loud laughters from all 4 of us ^^ )
After the 2 bolts of creative and artistic moments, we decided to do something more natural to youngsters then deciphering Arts...KARAOKE!!! We have a born singer in our group...HELEN!!! U should hear her powerful voice...lovely...definitely the best singer among ALL my frens (Frens, dun be jealous k...I am speaking the truth here).
Our artistic night out ended with the Karaoke, which though isnt an artistic program, still did wonders to kick start a weekend. :)

English Lesson on Tropical Fruits
Ever wondered whether the names of the fruits u eat are in English or otherwise?
On Tuesday, I was eating this fruit known to me as Ba Lu Gu (as I learnt from my parents that tat's the fruits name since I was young). Then, on my way to work, I asked myself what is the English name for this fruit...cracked my brain and I still could not find an answer. When I reached office, I started asking my colleagues and our conclusion is that this fruit has no English name. And that the name of this fruit is actually "Buh Duku" in Malay language. Interesting huh? As this is tropical fruit and grown in some countries only, think there is no English name given to it. We continued with discussion on other fruits as well...
Buh Duku - Malay Word
Longan - Malay Word
Rambutan - Malay cum English Word
Durian - Malay cum English Word
As for Lychee, we couldnt decide between Malay or Cantonese word...coz it could hv been both.
Now, start wondering what is the English name of the fruits u eat next time...

Introducing "183 Poohs"
We had a few additions to the Pooh Family in my office some time back (I was slow in putting up the picture here). A Red and another Baby blue T-Shirt Poohs. So our Pooh Family now includes:
Baby Blue Tee Pooh - Ah Bloop
Baby Pink Tee Pooh - Whiny
Yellow Tee Pooh - Ah Poo
Red Tee Pooh - Redish
Green Tee Pooh - Ah Poop
But what's more amazing is the stark resemblance of the 5 Poohs to the 183 Club. See their coloured T-Shirts to see which 183 Club members they resemble. So now, the Poohs have new names:
The 183 Poohs
YR Pooh (Huang Yu Rong in Yellow)
XS Pooh (Yan Xing Shu in Pink)
FG Pooh (Zu Fan Gang in Blue)
MD Pooh (Ming Dao in Green)
SW Pooh (Wang Shao Wei in Purple/Red as in Pooh)
And as expected, now MD Pooh is my favourite Pooh and sits at my desk all the time. ^^
Although 183 Poohs have new names now, my colleagues insist on calling the Baby Blue Pooh as Hady coz Hady's fan wore BLUE during the finals of Singapore Idol. Well, guess its up to them...as long as they dun change my MD Pooh...hahaha...ITS MINE! ITS MINE! ITS MINE!

Another of my favourite song by 183 Club...its from the soundtrack of Wang Zi Bian Qing Wa (The Prince Who Turns into Frog). Enjoy ^^

Applause to Ah Poop Scissors Hand!
(Does anyone remember the classic movie "Edward Scissors Hand"? Well, this is a deadly resemblance...read on...)
Ah Poop was having his time alone away from his siblings and was deeply immense in watching the movie "Edward Scissors Hand". He was thoroughly enjoying the show and was grinning to himself from time to time.
At the end of the movie, Ah Poop got 2 scissors and practised his cutting skills using the 2 scissors simultaneously. What fun he had! Imagining himself as Edward Scissors Hand...in fact, he called himself "Ah Poop Scissors Hand"
"Snap! Snap! Snap" the scissors made rapid sounds that made its way all the way down the corridor. Ah Poo who was having his nap awoke from the noise and was really irritated, "Wait till I get my hands on whomever is making tat noise!" So Ah Poo followed the sound and saw Ah Poop snapping away happily. "Ah Poop! Will u stop that!!! I am trying to sleep." Ah Poo complained impatiently.
At that moment, Ah Poop turned ard and with his demonic eyes, he stared at his brother intently. It was as if some evil forces had taken over Ah Poop, he raised his scissors and went straight for Ah Poo's thin neck. OMG!
Ah Poo cried and plead away with his brother, not to cut his neck. Still in a shock as to wat happened to Ah Poop, he obeyed Ah Poop's instruction and lied down on the floor flat. Before Ah Poo can blink his eyes, he saw Ah Poop's big fat butt coming right down on his face!
"Mwahaha....I won! I won!" Ah Poop cheered. Then, both brothers heard a ringing sound coming from the kitchen. "Ring! Ring!"...and Whiny called out "Its dinner time!!!" Finally, Ah Poop awoke from his stance and wondered confusingly abt wat just happened. Not knowing that he is sitting on his brother, Ah Poop made his way to his dining table...leaving POOR Ah Poo crying on the floor in misery...Boo...Hoo...Hoo...

Corrrrn Sooouppppp.....T_T
Let me tell u abt the nightmare corn soup ~~~ shiver...
Like all housewives and homemakers, my mum has the responsibility to prepare sumptous meals for us. It naturally becomes a headache to her that she have to come up with new menus now and then, and maybe even create a few new dishes. I do understand the difficulty of doing so, and do indeed appreciate the effort she had put in. THANKS, MUM!!!
Well, another of my mum's trait is that whenever she cook something new, she would ask for feedback as to whether the food is nice. Wanting feedback is of coz good, we all know that...but one must remember NEVER to tell my mum that u like a certain food! Why??? Coz, if u were to tell her that u like the food, or even just say that it taste nice ('nice' being such an ambiguous word), u will end up eating the same food for the days that follow (perhaps until another good replaces it).... '~'
This was proven previously,
1)The "Water-cress soup" that my bro drinks...he ate the water-cress veg and said its not bad...and wala....we saw Water-cress soup on our table at least once every week.
2)Japanese fried chicken bites tat we can buy from supermarket and just need to deep fry. It appeared on our table abt two or more times a week...until now, at the thought of it, I feel like puking...
Need more examples??...think not...makes me wana puke more...
Recently, my mum had been slacking at her cooking...been cooking really simple meals since she is more busy with going to fetch my niece from childcare and running to help out in the RC. Simple meals are fine...in fact, simple meals that are forgettable (ie. u dun remember wat u ate after u ate it) are good. But, OMG!!! I see CORN SOUP for dinner for abt 4 times a week lately!!!!...and sometimes, this is accompanied by the not-so-tasty stir-fried long beans which my niece love. Yes! All this is becoz my niece love the CORN SOUP and long beans... T_T
Please....save me....now, whenever I reach home and start getting ready for dinner, I fear to open the soup pot's lid...I am mortally afraid T_T
WHAT IF IT IS CORN SOUP AGAIN???!!!!!!!!

183 Club's New Album Song - Yi Ba San
Another song from 183 Club's new album - Yi Ba San (ie. One Umbrella). It is interesting how they name the song title to sound so much like 183 in mandarin. Anway, enjoy the song...this is my fav song in the album, but of coz I still prefer the soundtrack for the Magicians of Love.

Who needs English Lesson???
Was in a discussion with my colleagues today and trying to find the correct pronounciation of certain words. How do u pronounce the following?
1) Tangy ("Tan-g" OR "Tan-e")
2) Asset ("As-set" OR "Air-set")
3) Colleagues ("Ke-licks" OR "Kor-licks")
4) Photographer ("Fur-tor-grapher" OR "Photo-grapher")
Well, I think that the first pronounciation for each of the above 4 are the correct ones...wat do u think???
Then, when I commented on one of my emails that someone had "cc-ed" me something that does not belong to me. Su actually tot I was referring to the "cc" in MapleStory...duh...its cc with an "ed". So wat is cc?? In email language, it means carbon-copy, u know...u carbon-copy to a 3rd party other than the intended recipient. In MapleStory, cc simply means change channel. LOL.
Well, then Su asked "Wat is BCC then?"...I answered "Blind Carbon Copy lor. U see,the carbon copy is blind, so they go around shouting, 'Ah...ah! I am blind, so I cannot see where I am being sent to.'" Wahahaha....funny right??? *burr..so cold*
Anymore english lessons from me...maybe in future k ^^

Working with Idiots can KILL U?!!!
A fren passed me an article today and I was pretty amazed and amused at the same time reading it. As it was a cut-out article, I am unable to credit the relevant newspaper agency or even let u guys know which date the article appeared.
Anway, the contents of the article is as follow (makes for interesting reading):
Idiots in the office are just as hazardous to your health as cigarettes, caffeine or greasy food, an eye-opening new study reveals.
In fact, those dopes can kill you! Stress is one of the top causes of heart attacks - and working with stupid people on a daily basis is one of the deadliest forms of stress, according to researchers at Sweden's Lindbergh University MedicalCentre.
The author of the study, Dr Dagmar Andersson, says her team studied 500 heart attack patients, and were puzzled to find 62 per cent had relatively few of the physical risk factors commonly blamed for heart attacks.
"Then we questioned them about lifestyle habits, and almost all of these low-risk patients told us they worked with people so stupid they can barely find their way from the parking lot to their office. And their heart attack came less than 12 hours after having a major confrontation with one of these oafs.
"One woman had to be rushed to the hospital after her assistant shredded important company tax documents instead of copying them. A man told us he collapsed right at his desk because the woman at the next cubicle kept asking him for correction fluid - for her computer monitor.
"You can cut back on smoking or improve your diet," Dr Andersson says, "but most people have very poor coping skills when it comes to stupidity - they feel there's nothing they can do about it, so they just internalise their frustration until they finally explode."
Stupid co-workers can also double or triple someone's work loads, she explains,"Many of our subjects feel sorry for the drooling idiots they work with, so they try to cover for them by fixing their mistakes. One poor woman spent a week rebuilding client records because a clerk put them all in the 'recycle bin' of her computer and then emptied it - she thought it meant the records would be recycled and used again."
Do u agree with the above article??? I DO...*raised hand*

"The Story of the 3 Poohs - Part II"
Its Pooh time again ^^...miss "The Story of the 3 Poohs" in my July post??? Well, go ahead check it out before u continue with the Part II of the story below...
Where we last left off, Ah Poo, Ah Poop & Whiny died from the freak accident. A very sad affair indeed.
The 3 Poohs then wondered into the netherworld "ying jian". Big eyed and scared, they ventured hand-in-hand and aimlessly...then they came to a stretch of tall wall. Whiny said "I wonder wat's behind this wall? Maybe Mamiee is waiting for us over the other side." Ah Poop exclaimed "Yeh! Maybe Mamiee's there...this could be the wall tat separates the living and the dead...if its the living world "yang jian" over there, we will be able to see our Mamiee again!"
Ah Poo, being the big brother, took lead and climbed on top of the wall. Ah Poop and Whiny followed. The 3 Poohs scaled the tall wall, in hopes for a glimpse of their Mamiee.
"The background, which is suppose to be the netherworld or hell, strangely resembles my office"
The 3 Poohs peered curiously over the wall...
Surprise!!! Instead of their Mamiee, they found a whole pile of sweets and tidbits. Oh goodie! "Dun they just look delicious!!!" Whiny drooled...
So, the 3 Poohs had a great big feast of the sweets & tidbits and they forgot all abt their Mamiee. They even forgot their wanting to go back to the living world.
Well, u cant blame them for being young and gullible...a little goodies and they forget everything...mwahahaha!!!

Ming Dao's View Abt Kissing Qiao En
Just came upon this funny clip on an interview with 183 Club on the kissing scenes between Ming Dao and Qiao En in Wang Zhi Bian Qing Wa (WZBQW). A real protrayal of guys...keke...
Proper Address
No, the address I am talking abt is NOT the mailing address...its how we address pple: eg. "Mr Who&Who", "Ms Whatsoever", the informal "Alan", "Jane" or the rude "A!"
Was thinking of this topic in the morning and remembered an incident in my childhood when I was scolded by a teacher for being rude. I was in primary 2 or 3 then and u know how kids are like - we like to give teachers pet names...erm, some nice some nasty names :P Well, there was this teacher then, I remember her name is "Low Mei Ling"...as she was a bit fierce, we like to imitate her and call her full name instead of addressing her as the proper "Ms Low"...but of coz tat was among ourselves lah. One fine day, she came in for our class and while we were greeting her, I made a blunder and blurted out "Good morning Ms Low Mei Ling!" Wah, the instant the name came out in full, I knew I was in deep shit! (Ok, for a primary 2 or 3 student to know she is in deep shit must be something deemed really serious then). Ms Low indeed gave me a scolding and said that it is rude to call someone's name in full and I was punished to stand up the whole of tat lesson. Haha...imagine wat impact tat incident had on me for me to remember all the details :P
Now think...issit really rude to call someone's name in full, eg. "Mr Tan Ah Kow"? Then why is it that we call all the actors/actresses, singers, idols, and even public/political figures by their full names? For eg, is calling "Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong" rude? If it is, the media will be condemned for their rudeness towards our public figures.
Just recalled this other instant when my good friend, Jenny, told me how she disliked one of her ex-colleague for addressing her full name whenever talking to her or abt her. Jenny felt tat it was really rude of tat ex-colleague to do tat.
So, the question is "IS IT REALLY RUDE TO ADDRESS OTHERS BY THEIR FULL NAMES?"

Killer Taxi Fare T_T
I took the cab 2 days ago when I was rushing to work in the morning (due to my alarm clock and my having to wash my newly highlighted hair, which I kept washing red dyes off).
Oh yah, side-track a bit...FYI, I just did my hair last Sunday. 2 shades of mahogany and red, they call it highlight and lowlight...cost me a bomb but well tats the thing with being a girl...we like dolling up ourselves...keke!
Anyway, back to the cab issue. As most know, the taxi fares in Singapore have risen yet AGAIN. A half hour journey from Hougang to Tg Pagar area cost me $21.20!!!!! $*@^T$*@%!$^* tat costs like 4 meals to me T_T
Why is it so d@mn expensive? Yah, I know there is peak hour charge, CBD charge, ERP...but what other charges are there? Why does it hv to burn such a big hole in commuters' pockets???
With the EVER increasing transport expenses in Singapore, does it mean that we have to revert to our ancestors' way of transport - by "11"? "11" meaning using ur legs lah, resort to walking everywhere. So instead of waking up at 7am to get to work by 8.30am...in future, one has to wake up at 4am to get ready for the long walk to work. -_|||
You must think I am crazy for the above comment...yah maybe I am :P but still doesnt change the FACT that taxi fares are really high these days. Only consolation to me is that, the cab fare in Perth cost even higher than Singapore (at the moment)...

Funny Clip on Ming Dao ^^
Happened upon this on youtube, really funny clip on Ming Dao dancing with the same hands and legs together. Not an easy feat coz u see, even Gino from K-One could not do it...keke!
The Magicians of Love
As most of u know from my previous posts, I am really into Korean dramas. But wat u probably din know is tat I am into Taiwan dramas too. Not the draggy soapy type of olden Taiwan dramas, but the modern idol type of Taiwan dramas. I know I am not those young teenage girls who get obsessed over their suave handsome idols, but then I cant help but get attracted by the fairy tale storyline of such dramas. From Meteor Garden to The Prince Turns Into Frog, lately I discovered a new favourite: The Magicians of Love. The cast in this show is almost the same as The Prince Turns Into Frog...basically starring 183 Club. I am positively smitten by Ming Dao's charms...really cute and warm smile he has. Its surprising how I used to think he looks pretty ugly when I first watched The Prince Turns Into Frog...but then I guess his charms won me over. Well, do check out this drama...highly recommended by me!

Creative Juices Ran Dry???
I had wanted to blog abt some interesting activity chart of a certain individual a few days ago but after considering that the person involved might read my blog, I decided to delete the draft I did. Hmm, not becoz I care what this person might think or feel after reading my post...but coz this other person who is my fren might feel caught in the middle as this individual is her fren too. Well, it isnt all tat complicated. I am just sparing a thought for my fren ^^
So, tat left me with nothing really interesting to blog abt -_llll erm...I am not really tat creative in the first place...now wats left of my creative juices seemed to have ran dry...tats why all of u hv to read this lousy entry...lol...well, will try blogging something more interesting soon. :P

'Beng's & 'Lian's
Heard 2 comments lately that I am "LIAN"!!! How can this be??? There must be a mistake somewhere...I couldnt possibly be anywhere near tat expression....sob...sob...
It first started abt mid of this week, when my online fren HL (aka BabyXXX) asked wat kind of guy I like...then she answered for me and said that I like bengs!!! Aiyo, where she get the idea I dunno...she said from my photo, can see I like bengs....????.....got meh??? >< Then I said "Does tat mean I look lian?" And she answered YES!!! OMG!!!!
Then just now I went out w Amrita...havent met up with her for some time le, so had a lot of catching up. Well, we were having dessert at Swensens and chatting, then I was checking out this tall chinese guy. The sporting kind and a bit like those successful businessman who took time to bring his folks out for dinner. When I told Amrita, she was like "I din know u look at this kind of guy. I always tot u went for another kind of guy."
What kind of guy? Her answer: "Beng" -_lll
Aiyo...my most dreaded answer...why? why? why? She then explained that she classified the typical Singaporean Chinese guys as "Bengs". And also that I am "Lian". Her definition for "Lian"...typical Singaporean Chinese girls who seems a bit "uncultured"!!!...%&!*@()%^!&(#)$(^!@....where did tat come from??? Me uncultured??? T_T
Anyway, not too sure how I shld feel after these 2 comments from my frens...am I really "Lian"? And do I really like "Bengs"? Haiz.... -_- no comments liao...those who know me shld know...

Sleepyhead ><
A classic sleepyhead would have just overslept and be late for work or school. But me??? I am different.
Woke up at 6.30am this morning...brushed my teeth, showered, changed clothes, bag packed...all except my makeup. Then I was feeling rather drowsy so I decided to just let my head rest on my nice nice pillow and went on to lie down on my bed. Bad mistake! Bad bad mistake...I fell asleep again at approx 7.30am...by the time I woke up again, it was 8.30am!!! And I only woke up coz my parents knocked on my door and asked why I din go to work
-_lll
My mum grumbled when I asked if I shld take 1/2 or full day leave...sigh...grumble grumble...
So guess wat??? I decided tat rushing to work immediately would be pointless. Thus I took 1/2 day leave, went straight back to bed then and woke up again at 11am. Haha...refreshed!
Even have the energy to go for a swim after work just now...think the 1/2 day leave was worth it.

"The Story of the 3 Poohs"
Long long ago, there were 3 little pooh bears - Ah Poo (in yellow tee), Ah Poop (in green tee) and Whiny (in pink tee. They were such close siblings despite being step bros and sister.
One day, their mamee (my buddy at work is their mother) decided that they are old enuff to take care of themselves. So, she bought a 3-room flat for them. It was a teeny-weeny bit squeezy but it was a cozy warm home...
Tragically one day, a HUGE accident happened! Their flat collapsed into a pool of debris. Wat was even sadder was that the 3 poohs were home at that time and they were all crushed to death. Such a sad death for such lovely bears T_T
A lovely grave was dug to lay the 3 poohs to rest. May they Rest.In.Peace...

Behind z Scene of a Busy Street
I was walking to work from Chinatown MRT this morning, passing through the quiet streets and thinking abt the difference in the view there during the quiet morning vs the busy afternoon & evenings. The narrow streets are full of life and buzz in the afternoon and evenings, sometimes at night too. But morning is a drastically different story.
Locked doors of shops, empty tables and shelves, some rubbish lying around and guess what? Amazingly, I counted 5 DEAD COCKROACHES in the middle of the street tat I walked past! Goodness, just imagine how many more cockroaches there are (dead & alive) hidden in the depths of darkness, corners of stores/shops and in drains...~~shudder~~...and when I start recalling, I think I remember seeing dead cockroaches lying ard on the street every morning when I walked past. Eeeeewwwwww, cannot imagine what else is hidden behind the scene of these busy streets....~~shudder~~

Feeling of Lethargy
The feeling is back again...the naggy feeling of not wanting to come to work...wonder if its becoz I am tired, bored of my job or the job hopping bug is back again. Hope it is not the last one. Dun wish to go back to the days of changing jobs every 6 mths to 1 year...its very unsettling and no sense of accomplishment comes from such work.
Which brings me to wonder...how does pple who do part-time/temp/contract jobs on a full time scale feel? Huh, wat do I mean? Well, there are some pple who prefers not to get a perm job and be stuck there, so they work for different companies on a part-time basis. They are thus not considered job hoppers, more like hire helpers when the companies needed them.
Anyway, the only thing I am looking forward to daily is to knock off from work and go back to maple...sad life??? Not really lah...u must play the game to know...its really fun! Go ahead...check it out @ www.maplesea.com

My name is Kim Sam Soon
Huh? My name is of course not Kim Sam Soon lah...duh -_lll
The title on top is the recent Korean Drama I have watched. Really good show...It seems that the korean dramas I have been watching recently are all good...from "First Love of the Royal Prince", "Biscuit Teacher & Star Candy", "Wedding" and now "My Name is Kim Sam Soon"...think I am getting good at picking shows to watch :P
Well, check out this drama, I assure u tat u wont regret.
Actually, I think one of the reason why I like this show is tat it seems to relate to me tat the female lead is a plump girl...just like me. It carries the message that plump girls can have their charms too although they may not look attractive as some. You can call this consolation or watever u wana call it...I still like to think tat plump girls have their charms...it just depends on whether the guys they met are superficial...hahaha...
Oh yah, found this really interesting video. The author of this video clip put in a lot of interesting words...the words did not come from the show itself...but it does seem to relay the message tat comes from the show. Have fun watching this...and do try to get hold of the actual drama to watch...

Wedding Bells...ring! ring! ring!
Woke up late on Sunday coz of the late nights out on Friday and Saturday...so I woke up only at 10am plus...luckily, I still have time to prepare before we set off to attend my cousin's ROM. The solemnization took place at the Galleria Ballroom in Grand Corpthorne Waterfront Hotel. Pretty grand and nice atmosphere...plus the buffet food is really good too...hehehe, ate a lot of nice food over the past weekend...too luxurious lifestyle for me :P
Anyway, after the wedding lunch, we went to my eldest Bro's place to rest and for my 2nd bro to fix the computer there...maybe I can get the laptop back soon so tat I can maple w my bro...instead of taking turns...keke. I actually fell asleep there on their sofa, think I must have been really tired. Our dinner was settled at Grapevine, this little cafe near serangoon shopping centre and this crocodile farm there. Nice ambience but sadly, the food took a bit longer to serve and Charmaine (my niece) got impatient and was making a fuss, took a bite on the table, then cried when scolded by her mummy -_lll while piggy Ray (my nephew) was napping thru the whole episode.
Maybe if I get hold of the pictures taken, I will post it up on this blog...maybe...not sure if bro will email to me...maybe I must ask...but I am soooo lazy...........

What a long Saturday....but FUN! ^_^
I ran a little late in meeting Weini this afternoon...was actually half an hour late :P poor Shiming also had to wait...hahaha...aiyo XiaoMeis, forgive DaJie lah...I seldom late one...was late coz I ate lunch at home lah, then scully the 2 of u also havent eaten lunch >< diaoz....if knew, then meet u all for lunch liao.
We went to Party World for karaoke after lunch and was actually expecting Zhenwei to join us...but weirdly, could get her at all...haiz...only found out today tat she left her hp in the office over the weekend, thus couldnt reach any of us...wasted lah!!! We sang for 4 hours from 2.30pm and Weini even had to leave halfway for her harmonica practice. So, it was virtually Shiming's and my concert "Yan Chang Hui"...wahahaha...but its was still fun...long time never sing liao.
After karaoke, we went City Hall to meet Weini who finished her practice and we went Glutton's corner/square for dinner...dooo....its tat outdoor place at Esplanade where u can taste our local delights and is damn crowded on weekends >< But the food was YUMMY! We shared Stingray, Fried Oyster Omelette and Hokkien Prawn Mee...yum yum....so good...the dessert for the night was at Max Brenner Chocolate Bar.
Disappointment was wat I would say...the standard at the chocolate bar seems to have dropped. Again, the Soufle was again out of stock (if its such a popular dessert, why didnt they order more stock?). We ordered Chocolate Fondue and it came without the strawberries (which when we asked the waitress said "Oh, we ran out of strawberries, so we replaced w marshmellows. Werent you told jus now?"...no, we were not told -_lll ). Oh and by the way, think abt this...marshmellows are so much cheaper than strawberries...think we got the raw end of the deal). To top this off, our fondue burners kept burning out...the fire miraculously extinguished themselves ard 7 to 8 times...and we gotta keep asking the waiters & waitresses to keep coming to our table to relight the candles. They seems a bit annoyed...but its NOT our fault! Then at last, we managed to get the boss (I think he is the boss lah, coz I see him almost everytime I visit the chocolate bar and he is really knowledgeable abt the things there), he did something with the placement of the burners and wala! The candles were finally burning continuously...haiz, wats wrong w the other staff? Dun they know their job? Didnt the boss teach them the right way to place the burners? Its ok tat we customers do not know...but why do the pple working there not even know their own trade? Anyway, I was really disappointed...think tat might be the last time I will visit the chocolate bar there...would rather make my own chocolate fondue then to spend $20 there for poor service and lousy dessert.
After dessert, the 3 of us had a stroll down from Esplanade to Boat Quay...a nice night stroll and we hang ard chatting at Boat Quay for a while before heading home to our sweet beds...
Hope we get to meet again soon, Xiaomeis...and maybe this time Zhenwei wont forget her hp :P
(Photos will be uploaded when chou meng email them to me...meng! u know wat to do hor...)

Friday Night Out
Was so excited abt the weekend on Friday. Met up with Dan at 9pm plus for dinner (din wana meet him too early coz think I dun really have much to talk to him abt). He brought me to eat this China style steamboat at one of the shophouses opposite Bugis Junction...food was quite ok but we over-ordered and so pretty much overstuffed myself too :P
Pero joined us abt 9pm plus, but not for dinner...so she had the misfortune to sit w us at the table and enduring the heat, both from the weather and from the steamboat.
Anyway, had our dinner, blah blah chat...and me getting irritated w Dan for his choice of conversation topics (haiz...dun ask)...and then we went shopping a little at Bugis Village which opens till midnight. I was trying to find my hp housing coz I cracked mine on Thu when I went swimming...no luck.... T_T
Pero and I then decided to watch midnight movie preview for "Just My Luck" while Dan went off to meet his frens to watch World Cup. Picked the movie coz its the only non-horror and seems funny and sweet kinda of movie available.
Turned out to be quite a good show...sweet with a bit of humour and a nice happy ending which basically tells pple not to be superstitious...so are u superstitious??? Would u believe tat luck can be transferred through a mere kiss?

Busy Week OR Not?
On Mon (the one tat just passed), I tot this week will be a busy week of dinner appointments and meeting frens. The initial plan was tat I am meeting Sharon and May on Tue (but it was postponed to Wed, fine...but later it got cancelled as well), Fri I am suppose to meet Jean, Pero and Dan (which now Jean cant make it and Pero can only make it late at night), Sat I am suppose to meet my Xiaomeis (well, they can still make it in the morning and afternoon, but think Weini has harmonica practice in the evening) and Sun is my cousin's wedding. Seems like a busy week at first, but end up so many changes in plans...goes to show pre-planning doesnt work all the time.
Went to Suntec with Su on Mon after work and managed to get this cool crystal vase as a wedding gift to my cousin. I had wanted to buy crystal wine glasses but they din have the whole set of 6 there and told me if I wanted, I have to go down again the next day (but I am too lazy...and I wanted to swim on Tue). I really did swim on Tue...did 15 laps! Felt Great! Then as last night's dinner appt was cancelled, I went straight home after buying gift wrapping paper from Kovan Heartland Mall. Had a pretty uneventful night of mapling and watching vcds.
Today's plan??? To go swimming again after work...maybe can jio Kim to go (provided she doesnt wana just laze at home :P ). Wonder how will my weekend turn out...seems busy lah...but dunno whether got some more last minute changes. -_llll

Korean Drama - Biscuit Teacher & Star Candy
www.ImageShack.us" />
As most of my frens know, I am absolutely into watching vcds...especially Korean dramas. I used to watch a lot of Jap dramas but during the recent years, I have moved towards Korean dramas instead. So, wats all so great abt the shows?...u might ask...well, u gotta watch the shows to know right? Of course I wont comment tat all the shows are good...but there is a good portion of Korean dramas that is entertaining, funny, touching and simply make u fall in love with the characters inside.
I recently completed this drama call "Biscuit Teacher & Star Candy". Although the 2 actor and actress are not the ones whom I normally support (meaning, I never really bought their shows), this show is great! It falls into my category of "I feel like watching it again immediately" shows. U simply gotta fall in love with the male lead in this show, Actor Gong Yoo. Really cheeky looking fella and not the deadly handsome kind of guy...but really cute!

Ok, Kwon Sang Woo still rank no.1 in my Korean Idol chart...but this guy is slowly moving up the chart....maybe one of these days, I will post my chart of Korean Idol on this blog for fun :P
